China's Human Population: Endangered Pandas In The World
What is the first thing that comes to a person’s mind when they think of a panda? ‘Adorable!’ ‘Fluffy!’ ‘Cute!’ Unfortunately, these lovable creatures are endangered. Threats from China’s human population, left over 1,800 pandas in the world. Development and the increasing human population in China threatens the lives of pandas and leads to their numbers dropping. To help them, we should donate money so that we could further their research, and the making of panda reserves and bamboo corridors. Developments give pandas the risk of isolation, starvation, and less chances of finding a mate. WWF or World Wildlife says that “Roads and railroads are increasingly fragmenting the forest which isolates panda populations and prevents mating.” When pandas are isolated, they are not able to go out and find other panda groups to mate with. If they can’t find mates, then their numbers are unable to increase. It is likely if the population will decrease because they do not have any contact with other pandas. Others argued that development does not threaten the lives of endangered pandas. The chinese government said they are helping the pandas by making food and getting it prepared for them to eat so they don’t starve. Also the development gave them a place to live in called panda reserves. But they still can’t see what they're doing to the pandas and it's harming them even more. So of course everyone think that pandas are so adorable , fluffy , and cute but why do they have to be living in such harm? What if that was you? would you want your home to be taken away? I think it's best to start getting these pandas living in a safe environment. We need to take the pandas out of isolation and starvation and help them make contact with other pandas.
