Our project is mention about how parents need to know general information about being obesity because most families have wrong eating system. This project will control to less future childhood obesity and it will give more knowledge about how to eat healthy balance food per day. We think that children also need to have physical activities. In today 's society it is so easy to get caught up in the day to day duties of life; people often forget that their eating habits could be the death of them. The children of today are the children of the future, therefore raising them to make healthy eating choices in their childhood could prevent them from becoming part of the 20 percent of children that are obese. Over the past 30 years childhood obesity has more than tripled in the United States. According to the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, obesity in children is one of the easiest medical conditions to recognize but most difficult to treat. Due to a poor diet and lack of exercise children can run the dangerous risk of heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes which go hand and hand with severely overweight children. Kids who are unhappy with their weight may also be more likely to develop eating disorders. Diagnosing and treating overweight and obesity in children as early as possible may reduce the risk of developing serious medical conditions. In the United States alone, over 300,000 deaths each year can be attributed to this disease (American Academy of Child, 2008). In 2005 a study found that children today may lead shorter lives by two to five years than their parents due to obesity (USA Today, 2011). Overweight children are much more likely to become overweight adults unless they adopt and maintain healthier patterns of eating and exercise both at home and in school. Schools are a major cause of child obesity becoming an epidemic and it is time to take a closer look at how childhood obesity and the school system can be directly related. Removing nutrition in school lunches, lack of education toward…

But they are many things that we can do to solve this problem. In this paper I am suggesting three solutions, which may help to increase American’s public health and society to prevent unhealthy eating habits. Education is one of the most important key factors that can help African-Americans to choose right food, and change their unhealthy eating habits to a healthier ones, which can lead to prevent serious health problems in future. By educating parents and increasing the level of knowledge about healthy food choices their children will be conscious and be aware about their food and intakes. Also, people receive their nutritional information from advertisements on TV and radio, so we can use media as a good source to teach all people. In addition, creating free after school parent educational program on healthy lifestyle and healthy eating habits. Because parents are a child's first role model and they way they behave is very important. Also, government and school system can control what students eat by changing their food choices at the snack bars or vending machines. For example, instead of sugary drink they can replace zero calorie drinks. These little changes can help people to learn about healthy and affordable alternatives instead of greasy and oily foods and can prevent serious health problems for them in…

Childhood obesity is a huge health problem in United States that affects about 12.5 million children and teens in this country alone. Since 1960 scientist have been monitoring obesity problem in United States and between 1980’s and 1990’s they have seen a drastic increase in childhood obesity from about 5% to sky high 15% which is a concerning number for young people. There are many different reasons why young people develop obesity in this country. The major reason why children become overweight is a bad food diet, eating fast food and not exercising enough throughout the day. Today’s lifestyle and technology allows people to buy food quickly at local fast food places, it is quick, convenient and cheap. Most people do not have time to come home after all day at work and cook a fresh and healthy dinner for the family. It is easier to stop at “Kentucky Fried Chicken” for example and buy dinner for entire family for under $25 which is almost impossible to do at home. Access for children to fast food places is easier than ever before, and most beverages that young people drink contain High Fructose Corn Syrup that replaced sugar in the 1970’s but causes young people to gain weight as fast as sugar does. Biggest problem in childhood obesity is definitely the food choices that we make for us and our children but also we cannot forget about the lack of exercise, most people do not get enough exercise so they stay healthy and become over weight. Also school nutrition’s should be friendlier to healthy diets and fruits instead of vending machines. Childhood obesity is a growing problem in America and it seems that it is not going away but in fact it might get bigger in near future if we do not do anything about it. With better food choices, more exercise and help from the government we can overcome this growing epidemic in USA.…

II. Motivation for listening: The CDC Center For disease Control and Prevention, concluded that child obesity is an important factor that is attributed to many diseases including diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, asthma, and insomnia just to mention a few. There are also many side effects to these diseases, for example if an obese child is having problems sleeping at night the child daytime activities aren’t as productive as a child that have a good night sleep. The child with insomnia has difficulties in concentrating at school institutes, and at home they just eat and sleep. The variety of foods and there marketing are also important factors that contributed to child obesity, because the amount of calories that are found in fast foods exceeds the amount of exercise a child performs. And the marketing misleads the people to make the wrong decisions, given priorities to their financial incomes. Parents have an important role in providing their children with healthy life styles, and preventing them from falling into the tentative propaganda of unhealthy products. Also the schools which are the child’s second home have an important role in teaching their children…
