Research shows that adult depression are caused by childhood abuse, therefore this action should be eliminated to prevent this symptom happens. Child abuse is more common than many people believe in our society. In United States, each year more than 3 million report of child abuse are made which involved almost 6 million children. Studies also shown that the ratio of one in four girls and one in eight boys will experienced sexual abuse before they 18 years old. Children which have alcoholic parents are 3 times more likely to be abused and 4 times more likely to be neglect. Based on some medical reports shows, there will be 4 to 5 children are killed by child abuse in each day.
