Chiedu Interview Analysis
For my interview I got the pleasure of asking my best friend’s dad; Chiedu Megwalu some questions about his personal journey. Chiedu was born in Nigeria, Africa in 1956 and made his way to Salt Lake City, Utah. The purpose of this narrative is to hear about some of his struggles faced in this time, as well as seeing how far he has come up to this point in his life.

Embarrassed Chiedu spent some time away in his dorm, to avoid any subtle harassment. This is when a man named Gary
Pearson came knocking at his door. “I will never forget the confusion, as to why some strange white man would follow up on someone they were reading about in the newspaper.” This man immediately became a mentor for Chiedu. Gary explained to Chiedu that he knows how hard it is for a foreigner to come deal with some of the issues faced. Along the way this man became a father figure and Chiedu would spend many holidays with him instead of alone in the dorms.
In these recent days this amazing man has been able to uphold his own home, he has two
(adult) kids and works for an IT computer company. He is married to his wife, Kim and also

hosts a radio show where he is able to play his own personal favorite music from all over the world. He says, “I will never forget, it was 1984 and I heard reggae music playing, I could not believe my ears.” That has really helped him keep a special piece of his diverse culture alive for him, while he is so far from home. Overall I was able to get a further understanding for just a

He does not work more than one job now but he still works hard. When he was in college out in Iowa he would study late for the tests he had to take to get the job he wanted. When he first got his job here in Michigan after everyone went to bed he would still be working. Sometimes he would even pick up extra projects there to make more money. Sometimes he couldn't leave until he got things done so he would have to stay late to work on them. I know that he still works hard to put food on the table so we can eat every night.…

    Mock Interview Analysis

Somethings I did in my mock interview that made me more credible were my voice, body movements, and distance. In my interview I had a very polite and informative voice. I do not think my voice was to high or to low. I had to speak a bit louder than usual because we were in a noisy environment. During my interview I had my hands folded on the desk. I feel like I was at a good distance from my interviewer. I gave my interviewer personal space, but I also was not to distant. Things that could hurt my credibility was definitely how I was dressed. The way I was dressed was not appropriate for an interview. I was wearing a regular t-shirt, jeans, and some converse. If I was wearing these clothes on a real interview it could probably be assumed that I was not so serious about getting the job. I could not find a appropriate time to touch my interviewer. In the textbook it states, “But research confirms that appropriate professional contact can enhance your occupational success.” I was so nervous that I…
