Chick Flicks Genre Analysis
Although chick flicks seem to be different and quirky they are in fact hold a formulaic, mechanical story line. A narrative similarity with all chick flicks is the happy ending; whether it be Allie and Noah reuniting in love at the end of the Notebook (2004) after being separated by their social differences or Annie and Lillian coming together as best friends after their friendship falling apart in Bridesmaids (2011) .
