STA had a two prong approach to utilize SL. One was to hold a movie making competition among SL residents which would highlight their virtual worlds. STA could then use the best of the videos to provide the services to the SL world as they do in the real world. The second element evolved into creating a separate orientation landing where new comers would be provided basic orientation information and then STA would lead them to exciting places in SL providing another opportunity to provide the services currently provided in the real world. Deciding on a company to invest in should not be done without careful consideration. An analysis should be done first to help determine if the risks of investing in a company are likely to pay dividends. A SWOT analysis is a way to help an investor make that decision. A SWOT analysis is a tool that evaluates the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of an organization ("SWOT Analysis," n.d., para. 1). Taking the information from an environmental analysis and separating it into internal and external issues is the method the SWOT analysis uses to evaluate an organization ("SWOT Analysis," n.d., para. 1). Each step I take is made more and more difficult due to the bricks they call “textbooks” that I am forced to carry around; each one weighing a good 10-15 pounds and all shoved tightly within my ever-exploding backpack. I imagine the ease of being able to pull out my fully typed lap report or essay and being able to send it to the teacher via e-mail. Thankfully, schools have been transitioning into a more technological era and are taking the steps necessary to implement technology into the classroom. There are many aspects a school has to consider when making this technological leap, but the most important factors by far are the engagement of the students, the ease of the technology in the classroom, and the relationship between the teacher and the student.…
