Character Analysis: Hi Guys !

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend!
Reading this week’s content, it was interesting to see what differentiates the Warner Brothers from the Disney Company. Throughout Warner Bros. company, the quirks and humor is what made it differ and become unique within each animation they created.
1.“Freleng continues, “but he trusted me quite a bit, and he let me do whatever I wanted to do, as long as it didn't cost him a lot of money. You couldn't do that today, because we didn't even use union people. Our cameraman at the time, John Burton, was the live-action cameraman. We just took a black-and-white camera, went out and shot whatever we want wanted to, without asking” (Maltin, pg. 242). I believe this quote embodies the overall attitude at was present throughout the Warner Brothers company. Animators had free reign to do as they pleased with the animations. “We kept the focus on Mouse vs. Bunny, brash verbal sass vs. something more silent and Chaplinesque, Warner's witty limericks vs. Disney's humorous ballads, Duck vs. Duck” (Wagstaff). “The biggest difference between the two studio’s approaches is the difference between Wit and Humor, with the enjoyment of Wit relating to a general sadism in the viewer, just as the enjoyment of Humor relates to a general masochism” (Wagstaff). “After all, in a Warner Bros. short, it is not uncommon to see a duck getting his bill blown off with a shotgun at point-blank range” (Wagstaff). These three quotes are perfect examples of how both company’s animations style and attitude differ towards their work. Typically, Warner Brother’s animations contain more characters that are violent overall. Comparatively, the Disney style of animation is much more detailed and contains less violence, which is more child friendly. Even inanimate objects have a mind of their own. However, the charming characters like Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig were lovably unique, witty and not to mention
