In this chapter Zinsser talks about the importance of avoiding clutters in a writing. He mentions that in order to be clear to the readers the writer must have clear thoughts. It is best to keep writing simple and clear without unnecessary words and sentences that gets off topic which might distract the readers. Clear thinking and clear writing are interdependent, one cannot exist without the other.
