Chapter Twelve Chapter 12 Analysis
This week I have read the next seven chapters, chapter six to chapter twelve. All the stories attracted me a lot. I am about to talk something about them.
To begin with,I am willing to tell them main contents about the stores. As for this part,it can be classified into two main stories. One is the stories about Joseph, and another is the stories about Moses. Joseph, the castaway,a servant,a prisoner,a saint, and the savior of his people. He played so many roles in this part. At first,he was abandoned by his brothers. Because once he told his father of some wicked thing his brothers had done, ans his brothers hated him for it, and could not speak pleasantly to him. After his brothers cast him away, they told their father that Joseph was some evil beast had devoured him,and he became a castaway. Afterwards,Joseph was sold to the Ishmaelites,as a servant of

After Pharoah died, the king followed him did not like the Hebrews. He feared them because they had grown to be strong, so he set overseers to watch them ,and make them work like slaves. He treated them cruelly. All the Hebrews lead so hard a life that they could not bear it utterly. Then God let Moses and Aaron to relieve the Hebrews who were maltreated by the new king. And they did it. On the road to Canaan, God bring them into obedience and faith.
After I read this part,it is not difficult to draw a conclusion that you will get a good result if you treat others well. Just as Joesph and Moses and Aaron. Besides, when we read a long passage,it is of vital importance to take notes, the key points and the key information. Only thus can we remember the plots we read before. I ca also help us to read forth, more or less,we can understand the passage easier. A special aspect of the Bible is that it has so many roles and place names in its stories. If we can not make a list of them, it is really hard for us to consistently and understand it drastically.

From reading chapter 3 about “The Hidden Origins of Slavery” in the book titled A Different Mirror by Ronald Takaki it is found that there is much evil spoken of about black skinned people and their relationships with white people. Takaki mentioned, “In the English mind, the color black was freighted with an array of negative images: deeply stained dirt, foul, dark or deadly in purpose, malignant, sinister, wicked. The color white, on the other hand, signified purity, innocence, and goodness.” Today in our country majority of people regardless of their race would be opposed and even disgusted with this statement of offense.…

It is a constant theme throughout the beginning of Exodus that the Pharaoh was the source of the Israelites problems. He proclaimed that “if it is a [hebrew] boy, kill him”(Exodus 1:16) . In addition, he enslaved the rest of the Israelite and forced them to work tireless hours for little or no wages. His mistreatment of the Israelite’s set precedent for his advisors and countrymen to also treat them with disdain. Consider the example later on in Exodus, when Moses witnesses “an Egyptian man beating a hebrew man”(Exodus 2:11). The pharaoh and his people did not fear the Gods of the Israelites as he believed he was appointed by his Gods to rule the kingdom. Therefore, he deducted that he could treat the Hebrews anyway he wanted too without any repercussions. When Moses finally becomes prophet to God on Earth, he tries to convince the Pharaoh to let him celebrate a holiday and get a day off from work in order to so. In response to this request the Pharaoh defies the existence of the Israelites God by saying “Who is this Lord that I should heed him and let Israel go?” (Exodus 5:2). Throughout the Hebrew…

The Old Testament supports the tracing of the the relationship between the Levites and worship in Ancient Israel. Worship in Ancient Israel was based on doctrine supported by the covenant and interventions that had been initiated by God. Yahweh showed a considerable amount of compassion and protection to the descendants of Isaac, Abraham and Jacob. For example, the Israelites were rescued through their leader, Moses, from slavery and oppression and then led through Sinai to the Promised Land. Here, the set of instructions, still followed today, was revealed to them (The 10 Commandments).#…

MEM 6120 - Engineering Management II Assignment #5 January 8, 2013 Chapter 14 14.1 Sustainable development refers to work that simultaneously satisfies economical social, and environmental requirements (United Nations, 2002). It is self-evident that work must be economically viable so that customers are willing to pay for the work supplied. Work must also be safe and otherwise socially compatible. Furthermore, work need to be environmentally acceptable in that harmful discharges are minimized, wastes are decreased, material and energy resources are conserved, and any other detrimental impact on the environment is minimized. Some academicians suggest that it is the engineer’s responsibility to attain the ideals of sustainable development. They view it as the major challenge facing engineers in the future (Cruicksank 2003). Do you agree with this notion? Why or why not?…
