chapter 22 exile in dapitan summary
Hello my name is Meibelle Palomo and here I am to persuade you to stop smoking because I m concern to the health of everyone in here whose taking cigarette. Because I think many teenagers start smoking due to peer pressure . They may also smoke to feel more mature or as a form of rebellion against parental authority.
Do you smoke? Do you enjoy cigarette smoke? I’m sure that somebody here is smoking cigarette but not all of us are aware of the harm caused by cigarette smoke. I prepare this speech to convince you about the danger of smoking because smoking is not only bad for health it is also as bad for the people around you. Breathing other people's smoke is called passive, involuntary or secondhand smoking. The non-smoker breathes "side stream" smoke from the burning tip of the cigarette and "mainstream" smoke that has been inhaled and then exhaled by the smoker. Secondhand smoke is a major source of indoor air pollution. How does this affect the passive smoker? Some of the immediate effects of passive smoking include eye irritation, headache, cough, sore throat, dizziness and nausea.
There are some negative causes by taking smoking of cigarette. Health risks: lung cancer, asthma, heart attack, esophagus, cardiovascular and bladder diseases, stroke etc. Appearance: bad breath, yellow teeth and finger tips, disgusting smell of hair, fingers, clothes, wrinkling skin, etc.
That is the negative cause of cigarette so if I were you I will stop smoking because cigarette has no good cause to our health. If you don't want your friends to avoid you, try to stop or totally stop your smoking habits.
That's my persuasive speech thanks for listening to my speech I hope that I convince you to stop smoking cigarette.

The first time I heard a speech about the effects of smoking, I was in fifth grade. I well remember Deputy Becerra talking about the warnings against smoking. The last words she clearly spoke, were, “this cigarette in my hand is a death sentence”. After the presentation, for days, I kept contemplating on the subject and the effects. I asked myself, why would anybody be tempted or drawn to light up that cigarette? It did not make any sense to me. Five years later, at the age of fifteen, I tried my first cigarette.…

Main speaker: I’m here to tell you people that smoking should be banned. Every day in Great Britain about 450 children start smoking, 1 in 4 which turns into regular smokers by the age of 15 and every year 106, 000 people die from the effect of cigarettes. Would you want your child to become addicted to smoking? Watching people smoking disgusts me. It seems as though every time I go to the grocery store, gas station or a restaurant there is either a customer or an employee smoking outside the door. That is why I strongly support the local governments ban on no smoking in public places. Moreover, most private business are banning smoking in their office buildings, however, some business' still allow smoking inside their buildings, which is where some problems can begin. Also some people will do anything to avoid second hand smoke because they know the affects that it can have on their health. Never again would I like to see people smoking in public.…
