Bangladesh came to today 's shape through a long history of political evolution. Bengal was probably the wealthiest part of the subcontinent up till the 16th century. The area 's early history featured a succession of Indian empires, internal squabbling, and a tussle between Hinduism and Buddhism for dominance. All of this was just a prelude to the unstoppable tide of Islam which washed over northern India at the end of the 12th century. Mohammed Bakhtiar Khalzhi from Turkistan captured Bengal in 1199 with only 20 men. That was just the beginning. The journey of Bangladesh goes on.
Today here I am going to state the changes I have experienced through my life. So it will be a comparison between the last of nineteenth century and the early of twentieth century. It might be a much smaller time limit for a country but still there has been a gigantic change in the life of Bangladeshi people and in Bangladesh.
Cultural Change: 1. Earlier most people of Bangladesh used to watch BTV. There were no other channels available then. Now the scenario has changed people are attracted to some foreign channels. So different cultural practice is going around the country so much in number. 2. Dresses of this country among youth have changed drastically now-a-days it is easy to found western dresses in young people. Foreign culture is introduced largely in this country. Short dresses are worn by women, boys are found in shorts and thus modernization in a western manner. 3. Celebration of days like Valentine’s Day, friendship day and many other occasions has been celebrated all over the country. People wearing different dress and exchanging gifts on this occasion. 4. Before the cultures we have for instant, ‘pohela boishakh’, ‘pohela falgun ‘ was celebrated in a

Against the backdrop of the global economic slowdown, the Bangladesh economy has performed strongly over the past few years. Despite the fallout from the Euro debt crisis still contributing to an uncertain environment, the Bangladesh economy has pursued accommodative monetary and fiscal policies. However, if the global economic slowdown is much more prolonged than the current forecasts indicate, the impact on Bangladesh is expected to be adverse. The economy has persevered so far in the face of global recession, but the domestic challenges are manifold with respect to soaring inflation, import-export imbalances, devaluation of the currency, a slow growth of remittances, increasing budget deficit and government borrowing. Bangladesh emerged as a independent country in 1971 via a long walking struggle. So it was compelled to retain it’s relation to super power countries and also to Muslim countries where Bangladesh was helped by Russia in our liberation war. But our foreign policy has been changed since 1971 to at present time for sundry times because of changing our political regime .Our honorable prime minister in different political regime visited to sundry countries for making pacts , treaty , protocol, business trade treaty to retain our national interest. When Sheikh Mujib became president of the country in 1971 then he emphasized on Mujibbad ( Nationalism, Socialism ,Secularism, Democracy ) where BD had good relation particularly to USSR because of resorting to Socialism and also had good relation to India because of resorting to Secularism in Constitution . Whenever Ziaur Rahman came into power in 1978 then he transferred Secularism into the ‘’principle of absolute trust and faith in the almighty Allah’’ and Socialism was given a new explanation to the effect that socialism would mean economic and social justice (Article 8 of BD constitution) and also Bismillahhir rahmanir Rahim was inserted in the beginning of constitution (Rahman, Editor, 2006) .…

Bangladesh is situated in southern Asia, on the delta of the 2 largest rivers on the Indian subcontinent—the Ganges and Jamuna (Brahmaputra). It borders with India in the west, north, and east, with Burma (also known as Myanmar) in the southeast, and with the Bay of Bengal in the south.
