Change and Why We Need It
CHANGE AND WHY WE NEED IT
Pastor Bill Purvis Of Cascade Hills Church has a favorite saying:
Change is Inevitable; but Growth is Optional
Growth is the result of a Positive Outlook to CHANGE
If you are not changing, you are not growing.
Charles Darwin said:
It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent,
BUT the one most responsive to change:
When something is inevitable your best bet is to: 1. Prepare for it 2. Adapt to it 3. Don’t be surprised by the next by always looking for it.
Live a Life Of Expectancy…..expecting change.
Dr. Spencer Johnson, #1 Best Seller of the Book “Who Moved My Cheese?” said
Noticing small changes early helps you adapt to the bigger changes that are to come.
If you don’t change your will become extinct:
E.g…is like Block Buster Video and Movie Gallery….with the event of RED BOX $1.00
The are no more Movie Galleries and Block Busters around why….change in movie rental industry.
Lets establish here that GOD does not need to change, we do. And in fact he said “I am The LORD and I Change NOT” So if change is inevitable then we don’t have a choice but to change.
Change What?
LIFE: by that we talking Experience, Life Experiences
The SUM total of your life now is made up of your experiences and the decisions you have made in the past. If you notice, it’s really how well you adapted to life’s changes determined your success today. If you change your life you change your experience and Vice Versa.
By Experience we mean
Spiritually, Emotionally, Mentally, Educationally, Financially, Physically
We need to be well Balanced Christians….some people emphasize one over the other……
No we need to keep each in the right perspective and make the necessary changes in each area in order to grow…
Remember if you are not changing you are NOT…..growing…if you are not growing you are not living…existing maybe but not living……..so going back to the areas we need to change our life experiences in….

Change. From the first breath inhaled to the last, we change hundreds, thousands, of millions of times throughout the entirety. These changes may not always be so obvious, whereas others are blaringly distinct. Change is inevitable, especially as the environment, technology, economy, and people develop. Us, human beings, we are flexible, able to adapt and survive. However, as we adapt to these changes, we can not let these changes compromise our beliefs and principles by which we abide and hold close to our hearts.…

The quality of your life philosophy is a direct result of your abilities to think critically and think creatively, abilities that you have been developing while working on activities presented throughout this book. But a life philosophy is incomplete until it is acted upon through the decisions you make, decisions made possible by your ability to choose freely. These are the three life principles of human transformation upon which this book is based: thinking critically, living creatively, choosing freely. These three principles are interlocking pieces of the puzzle of your life. Working together as a unified force, these principles can illuminate your existence: answering questions, clarifying confusion, creating meaning, and providing fulfillment.…

We discussed these findings during our monthly Doctors meetings, the team were surprised by the findings but agreed that we all tend to look at the patient notes and cross off medications frequently but do not always discuss or document the changes. Both medical and none medical prescribers agreed that this could potentially result in a drug error whereby the incorrect medication had been omitted and there would not be any supporting written evidence. We revisited the General Medical Council (2016) and Nursing and Midwifery Council (2016) guidance on prescribing, and discussed issues surrounding deprescribing at length. The nurse prescribers were also involved in discussions as to how and why we stop medications and they…

Nice post. This inevitability of change is obvious to all. but the fear of change remains pervasive amongst almost all of us; This fear is what makes us remain constant, this fear is what makes an individual remain in a job or career that is not fulfilling rather than dare to try to change; this change is what actually makes us grow and become better but this same change inflicts worries and questions about the "what if's and the how about's"? Although the answers to all these questions may be unknown and even when they are known and answered change although granted to make us grow and become better still brings a level of apprehension that is inexplicable but necessary to advance us. The only thing that we have to do is agree to change…

We all want something out of life and most of us have a plan for our lives and where exactly we want to be in 5, 10, or even 20 years. However, most of the time, those 5,10, and 20 year plans do not work out as we expected. We go through triumphs and tragedies; we grow and learn; and we eventually realize that what we have planned is probably going to change because we have changed. Over the course of my life, I have changed in a variety of ways and have overcame a number of challenges. I’ve made plans for my life and most of them did not work out, but looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing.…
