Cell Biology Research Paper
Have you ever considered how important science is to one's life? Do you ever think about how your life would be without the knowledge it provides? Science, the study of the natural world through experimentation and observation, has a very important role in our lives. We need science to better understand the universe, our planet, and our own species. From a young age, I have had an appreciation of the importance of science as well as a desire to understand it, especially biology. I have always found the human body particularly fascinating. The area of study that is of particular interest to me, is the study of cells, This brings me to the one career that I would absolutely love to learn more about, cell biology. A cell biologist is a scientist …show more content…
How can one pursue a career in a field that they don't even enjoy? Obtaining a love of science in this field will most certainly make it more gratifying. Side by side with one having a love of science, I also think that in order to be successful in this career, one must be curios and have a passion for discovering new things. Being a cell biologist requires great amounts of research and experimentation. If one does not have passion for discovering new things, conducting those lengthy experiments and prolonged amounts of research, they would never find any pleasure or enjoyment in their career. With regards to experiments and research in this field being quite tedious, one must also have patience, dedication, and perseverance in order to thrive as a cell biologist. William Edward Hickson, a British educational writer, once said "If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try again." In this area of work, not all of your experiments will prove your theories, nor will all of your research support your claims, and not everything will be achieved as hoped, but, if one has patience, dedication, and continues to persevere even if at first they don't succeed, they will surely be successful as a cell

I vividly remember being in sixth grade extremely jealous of the eighth graders being able to dissect a pig while we as sixth graders got a worm. The anxiousness killed me knowing I had to wait two years but it was well worth the wait. I was always on time because I knew I wanted to get first pick on every set of instruments and specimen. I always lead our group and was always the first to make incisions while everyone else was grossed out. That’s when I realized I discovered something I truly enjoyed.…

Ever since I was in elementary school, I have loved biological science, for it involves experiments. I was always excited for science fairs. Excited enough, I planned my science fair projects a year early every year. When I transitioned into high school, I was put in a “Regular Biology” class and immediately contacted my counselor to put me in an “Honors Biology” class. I wanted to be in a fast paced course that would teach me a lot about the subject I am in love with. I did doubt the possibility of having science fairs in high school and this upset me. As my freshman year went on, my honors biology teacher proposed a science fair to my class. This was an exciting opportunity for me as I love science fairs. I used all of my energy from excitement into my project and was winningly chosen to represent my school among my school’s township’s big science fair as my project was sublime. That was the moment I was absolutely…
