Develop trust between the teacher and parent. This is accomplished by treating each other with mutual respect. Keep updated in student’s interests, activities at home, upcoming events. It is essential to the growth and development of every child to advance their physical and intellectual needs. There are numerous ways to encourage this type of development. I offer a variety of activities that promote the advancement of the physical and intellectual competence of the children in my care. Children are encouraged to participate in daily large motor activities to enhance physical development. I do this by being very enthusiastic and even joining in with the children at play. Outside we play tag, ball, hopscotch, and other made up games. Inside we play parachute, and beanbag toss. I also communicate with the children and their parents about the importance of being physically active. In class we have discussions, and I send newsletters home to parents with ideas for activities. Children in my classroom get plenty of time for large motor activities and know why they are important to their health.…

As a childcare professional I do my part to maintain a well run purposeful program responsive to participant needs I would use my obervations tools to identify the strengths and goals of each child and the observation forms also help me know how to work with that child so he/she could be successful. Based on my knowledge of child development I use the observations of the children to identify any child who may need extra support or referral. I also use obervations to plan activities based on the children interests because I know children learn best when they are enjoying the activity. These are some of the things I would do to ensure and effective program…
Informational group texts, emails, and phone calls to the parents are the main ways that I inform parents of upcoming events, projects, behavioral concerns and praises. There are modifications, like letters, for parents or guardians that require other means of communication. During the year there is ample communication with parents and guardians about what is happening in class and what should be expected when the student is at home. Questions are encouraged from parents and guardians and answered the same day or as quickly as…
The teacher can and should initiate the first communication with the parents because you are setting the stage for what will hopefully be a partnership of trust, teamwork and openness. A quick five minutes on the first day to say hello and welcome to the parents and child can open the doors, letting the parents know that you are here to work with them and a resource from them in the learning process. Communication needs to be frequent and consistent between school and parents. Some effective communication strategies are: telephone calls, newsletters, open houses, school calendars, school/class websites, and parent workshops. Even though communication is key, parents need to become an active member in their child’s education. As Staples and Diliberto (2010) stated “Some parents view education as the primary role of the school with little need for parental involvement. Whereas other parents view education as a collaborative role between parents and educators” (p.59). The latter is what we as educators should aim to avoid.…
1.We build a sense of trust between the families, by being friendly, showing interest, asking questions, sharing information. For the relationship between the families and childcare worker, we need to share information in a clear, and respectful, and helpful way. Most parents want to know how things are going for their child. They will look for us for that information. We also build a sense of trust with the families, by being dependable, reliable, punctual, communication, showing respect, empathy, and good judgment in our planning suggestions for activities with kids. Also very important never talk bad about other families that we have worked with. We could give not a respectful or not professional impression.…
