I have never seemed to think as myself as a leader however, since I have been in the INANG my subordinates would describe me as a good mentor and team builder. When I was a senior airman I was asked by a colonel: If I could change something with our leadership, what would it be? In the back of my mind I thought that was his job, but I answered anyway. I told him that there could be better communication with everything from the hangar to the back shops. From that point on, we would see him working his way around more often to keep in touch and gather feedback. Since then, I like to ask my subordinates ideas of how they would do something better. In my opinion, it is very challenging job to find a balance between providing adequate pain medications for suitable candidates and preventing these medications from being misused and abused. Providing care with a holistic approach will allow an FNP the opportunity to develop long-term relationships with their patients. As a result, they can easily monitor patients' use of opioids over time and frequently assess patients' conditions to determine the need for continuing pain medication. Even more important is the need to educate patients about the benefit and the risk when using opioids as well as how to properly discard unused medication. Last but not least, an NP should keep up with current research for alternative pain management such as…

Due to the course Introduction to Liberal Arts, I was able to gain a multitude of scholarly attributes that overall contributed to my ability to understand the assigned passage in a critical manner and to construct my paper. The integrated studies course that I have been apart of for the last semester is very much essential to what I believe a liberal arts education should be and that is clearly also the case of the Monmouth College Faculty as well. The class is essential to mine and my fellow students’ developing intellect. Within my individual Introduction to Liberal Arts class, we focused on three main readings: Curious, Eating Animals, and Persepolis. We also addressed the three required articles: Master of Many Trades, Interest as the Missing Motivator in Self-Regulation, and “Only Connect…”. These together allowed myself and my class to be engulfed in the initial liberal arts experience.…

This course helped me realize the many steps that are involved in the writing process from gathering ideas to making a final copy. In order to create a good paper you need to organize your ideas. However, I find it tedious to have to connect those ideas; yet, I want my paper to be cohesive and organized.…
