Cassandra Valdez Analysis
Contrary to popular belief, Cassandra Valdez grew up as a quiet suburban kid without any real drama in her life. Raised as an only child by 2 overprotective parents, Cassie was beyond content with her cozy and simple lifestyle, but did love the occasional trips to theme parks and traveling to places filled with new experiences and adventure. Cassie grew up very close to all her immediate family members, including her cousins, aunts, uncles, as well as family friends. Even as she grew older and despite her indecisiveness in her future and hobbies, her family was always supportive of her choices and personality. Though, there was no denying her Mom could get on her back a bit when it comes to her always wearing that pull-over sweater.
Despite the positivity in her family, Cassandra struggle most when it came to school and outside life. She often had trouble finding friends to stick with while also staying true to herself. In a twist, she was sorted into Tigris. Shaken that she was sorted into a house filled with openly strong and bold people, she instantly felt like she didn't belong. She simply couldn't connect to others or make the effort to reach out to others, and when she did, she built up a lot of barriers to keep her from looking weak (or approachable); Often times attempting to create a confident and defensive barrier. Throughout the year she was back and forth with herself about switching to another school or staying at Lorem and giving it a shot. Despite her doubts and struggles, Cassie finished her first year at Lorem still breathing, supported by the classmates she had warmed up to, as well as her encouraging teachers. Although Cassandra continues to struggle with managing her anxious self, the few new friends she has made has zoned a comfort to her, as well as the love and comfort of her
