Phokeng
Phokeng is a name that is from the Bafokeng people. It was named after the seeds that the Bafokeng people used to eat when they were facing a drought. Originally it was called a place of dew. This place was bought from the European colonists. Platinum was found and Phokeng was promoted to being the richest tribe. Phokeng has a lot of opportunities to raise businesses because it’s the centre of tourism in North West. Oom Paul, Sun City casino and Valley of waves is located closer to Phokeng. This place has an atmosphere of countryside. A person would have no trouble fitting in the country like life style. When you are in Phokeng you would have job opportunities because of the tourism that is happening in the area. There really good websites that expand on Phokeng but it is just facts.

People want to be nearer to the living tradition and have the experience of different things and the heritage of different people. This is what people from all over the world want in marketing as they change their expectations for their holidays, they are now taking shorter trips and they want to gain more from their trips. The UK commercial research shows that in 1999, 49% of people wanted a code guarantee of good working conditions, the protection of the environment also supporting tourism at the tourist areas sustainable tourism. Also in 2001, 52% wanted the same thing this shows how people are now want to see the responsibility and reputation of businesses they want to support.     There are multiple stakeholders who have varied interests in relation to tourism industry namely the host community, business organizations, tourists and the government. Responsible tourism aims not only to minimize the negative impacts but to maximize the positive impacts of tourism on these stake holders. While doing so, responsible tourism, as opposed to sustainable tourism, tries to fix responsibility for the achievement of defined objectives through specific measures on these stakeholders. It is quite possible that specific stakeholders view responsible tourism measures as more or less the responsibility of particular stakeholders. This paper is an attempt to identify responsible tourism measures and their relation with specific stakeholder groups as perceived by the stakeholders themselves and subgroups within each category of stakeholders. The study has been carried out by analyzing primary data collected using a questionnaire from various stakeholders in a tourist destination. The findings show that highest responsibility is placed on government followed by business, host community and tourist in that order. The order in which responsibility is placed on different stakeholders is unanimous by all the stakeholder groups. There are no significant differences in responsibility placed on a particular stake holder either by stakeholder groups themselves or demographic subgroups. The findings are of theoretical, managerial and policy implications.…

Pro-Poor Tourism is defined by its beneficiaries – not by the approach and methods used. Pro Poor tourism is set up in developing countries as a means to improve the local economy for local people. It enhances the linkages between tourism businesses and poor people, so that poverty is reduced and poor people are able to participate more effectively in tourism development. The aims of pro-poor ranges from increasing local employment to involving local people in the decision making process. Any type of company can be involved such as a small lodge or a tour operator. The most important factor is not the type of company or the type of tourism, but that poor people receive an increase in the net benefits from tourism. Pro-poor tourism (PPT) is tourism that generates net benefits for the poor. PPT is not a specific product or sector of tourism, but an overall approach. Rather than aiming to expand the size of the sector, PPT strategies aim to unlock opportunities – for economic gain, other livelihood benefits, or engagement in decision-making – for the poor.
