Case Study Of Google Company
Search advertising is the core business of Google Company. Search advertising is a mean of establishing online advertisements on internet. Google Company earns revenue by charging for each click on search advertisement. However, the search advertising of Google Company has been facing a trouble recently. Google’s total advertising revenue has been reduced for year over year as the amount can charge on search advertisement has been decreasing. This problem is caused by the evolution of mobile devices and mobile applications. Nowadays, many people connect to the internet by mobile devices than desktop computer. This was a bad news for Google as its revenue almost came from desktop advertising.

After recognizing the problem, they have taken their responsibility to solve and calmly seek the chance to go into the industry which they are not familiar with - mobile advertising industry. In addition, Google’s leaders have played a role as a negotiator when in the conflict. They have planned an agreement or solution and tried to persuade their customers to make deal with them. Local inventory ads are known as Local Product Listing Ads, it is Google’s new advertising product which let people to locate the availability of desired product in the local physical store by accessing internet. Therefore, shoppers can directly shop and buy the desired product in the advertisers’ physical store. “These local inventory ads are very efficient and effective” says Google. Moreover, Google says that there is not just a general increase, is an enormous increase of number of people who use the ads to search desired products in their area. According to this result, there are more advertisers or even retailers willing to spend more on mobile advertising.

From introducing local inventory ads to a huge increase of number of searchers, an influencing process has been displayed by Google’s leaders. Google’s leaders have made a big change by launching a new ad. This change has successfully affected the searchers’ attitudes and behaviors in online searching. In addition, the traits of effective leaders have also been revealed by them. For instance, the traits of high energy, intelligence and stability.
