The Study is about the company, Monde Nissin where all of the heads of the department comprising the said company were gathered to reiview and discuss the year’s performance for its instant noodle line. The said meeting was initiated by the demand analyst of the said company.

He/She reported that their sales growth over that past year has been a single digit from years 2006 to 2008, with respect to the previous years which was year 2003 to year 2005.

They discussed the problem as to how did their sales growth decline, some of the department heads reported that the decline was due to increase in price of their product. Although the sales of the company have declined significantly their cost of goods sold has remained high, especially between 1994 and 1995 the company had a decline in sales and an increase in cost of goods sold. This is evidence the company is having problems passing costs to its consumers. The company is not very asset intensive and its decrease in total asset turnover can be due to their decrease in sales, however their rather low total asset turnover which is also decreasing from 2.1 to 1.5 shows their assets are not being used very efficiently. As a result of their sales decrease their Fixed Asset turnover also decreased from 7.0 to 5.4. The decrease in sales and increase in competition also means more shelf time for their inventory which has increased from 103 to 129, which makes Haefren Baum’s price cutting strategy questionable. The company is already experiencing a loss of revenue due to their lower prices; however this is not stimulating the number of different sales because the inventory is sitting in the…

Mailing marketing complicated due to type of client. Needs better efficiency.Options (4): 1: Cost is $65000, plus $15750 a year. Same manual labour. Would make total process 26.05 seconds long. Is discontinued in 2012 and will deplete useful life in 2014. Option solution only temporary. In next few years, have to reassess same issue when machine used up. Gives time to investigate if cliental will increase or decrease. 2: Cost is $435000, plus $25000 a year. No added manual labour. Mailsorter value: $10000 to $15000. 30 days of downtime, all packaging processing must be done manually. Not large issue due to the long-term savings of not having added manual labour once installed. The sales have dropped in the year 2007 but with the increase in production the sales have increased. The production has increased as new machinery is being purchased in the corresponding year. Following the increase in sales, the gross profit has increased. The net profit though has seen a downward trend. This is due to the fact that the operating expenses have increased which include depreciation due to buying of new machinery. The finance cost also plays a vital role in decreasing the overall profitability for the company.…

It can be noted that expenditures have decreased by 3.6%. In the short term, sales are dropping faster than the expenditures, which must be corrected if the company is to remain profitable. The company appears to have a substantial amount of fixed costs. With sales decreasing losses will soon increase at a faster rate leading to a company that is no longer profitable. The advertising budget has not been increased, which can be a direct nexus to the low sales. The decrease in commissions is directly related to the low sales. An increase in the advertising budget should increase potential sales, which would also increase the commissions being provided.…

Lumpkin Plumbing’s demand is slightly seasonal, with an increase in sales during the spring and early summer. Based on the company’s projections, even they were not expecting the high increase of sales. While the projected a sales growth was 20%, the actual growth rate was 63.1%. This increase proves that there was higher demand for Lumpkin Plumbing’s business. Perhaps with the newly added display areas, retail sales will increase the net sales even more. This could give the business a competitive advantage in the future. One of the biggest issues I have with this company is the inaccuracy of its projections; especially for the inventory and accounts payable. Inventory from 1998 to 1999 increased by 18.74%; however, the projection for 2000 is only for a 10.5% increase. If they are expanding to accommodate growth then I think the growth rate for inventory should have been higher.…

What personality (or character) type does Hank display according to Freudian Theory? Hank displays Oral personality type according to Freudian Theory. Why do you think so? I believe Hank displays Oral personality characteristics due his preoccupation with eating and smoking. At what stage is Hank Fixated, according to the Freudian perspective? I believe hank becomes fixated at the Oral stage, which occurs from birth to one year of age. Find evidence of fixation in the case study? Evidence of oral fixation occurs when the case study describes Hank as eating and smoking excessively as a method to calm his nerves. The case study states “Hank is sitting in his apartment eating a pint of Ben and Jerry’s Cherry Garcia ice cream and contemplating this past week, which had been stressful. The ice cream started to make Hank feel better, more relaxed, and once he finished off the pint, he pulled out a cigarette and lit it. The first inhale also helped to reduce the tension he was feeling” What would have caused this fixation? The cause of this fixation is due to how Hank’s mother responded to her infant’s demands, which at the time were solely id demands. The case study states “His mother often described Hank in terms that implied that he was loud even when he was a baby. His cries used to pierce the air, and his mother would often rush to make a bottle for Hank or give him a cookie to regain some peace and quiet, even when she could not understand why he was hungry because he had eaten so recently. She laughs about it now, but it was stressful at the time"…

The problem statement is usually phrased in terms of questions considerably more focused than the subject of the paper. End this section by stating the problem in the form of a question. For example, if a work group is not performing effectively, an effective problem statement might be, "How can group performance be improved?" rather than simply "Poor group performance."…
