Case Study Hurricane Harvey
In Houston Texas, Hurricane Harvey had flooded majority of the homes. The flood water had go contaminated with bacteria and the toxin that are making people sick. Some of the the scientist are going to the homes and they are testing the water. In most the homes has 135 of the safe amount of E.coli and lead in the flood waters. Also there is sewage contamination and it is starting to concentrate inside the homes. In addition there is bacteria growing in the homes. Many of the officials are worried about the toxins in the waters that are in the homes of the residents. There can be many of their sickness in the water that can be transferred from those who may have open wounds. Many have gotten redness in skin and other symptoms from the water. Secondly many of the residents are upset because they had no information about the toxin in the waters that are very dangerous. There has been many samples of the water that scientist have taken. In fact, many of the resident have found animals in the waters such as fish which is very unsanitary. When some residents are going back to their homes they are walking murky waters, in this case many neighborhoods are in murky waters. Some are unaware of the health risks that are in the waters. Since the homes had got flooded there is mold in the homes and in some case it has been there for a long time and is not going anywhere for a while. Some have thought of the idea they are not going back to their damaged homes and going to live somewhere else. Hospitals are worried about young children who can have allergies and asthma because they can become very sensitive to the water.
