Summary of the Program The event began with Mr. Lopez providing a rundown of what the whole program would be about, and short after, introducing the prima ballerina, Ms. Lisa Macuja-Elizalde. The prima ballerina then discussed the plot of Carmen and how she felt of taking the lead role. After that, she presented a quick lecture about the basics of ballet, wherein she also demonstrated the basic positions. As she ended the lecture, the lights dimmed and the ballet production started. At the end of the performance, Ms. Lisa Macuja-Elizalde continued to entertain the audience by asking some questions about Carmen and giving a few tickets to her next show.

The Story of Carmen The story began with Carmen working as a cigarera in a factory owned by a man named Don Jose. One day, Carmen was caught by Don Jose beating her co-worker. Don Jose threatened Carmen that he will report what he had seen. But Carmen doesn't want to be jailed, so she used her beauty and charm to seduce Don Jose. Don Jose, who had his own woman, Micaela, at first was hesitant and was not interested. But as Carmen offered her own body for a night in exchange for her freedom, Don Jose willingly accepted the deal. He was captivated and amazed by the beauty that Carmen possessed. A night came where in Don Jose slept and made love to Carmen. But it wasn't just a one night stand for Don Jose for he was completely captivated by Carmen after what happened between them. He fell crazily and madly in love with Carmen, abandoning Micaela, and choosing Carmen to be his new found love. As the story went on, it took its twist and turn with a night in a bar. Carmen was drinking when a matador, Escamillo, showed up. After a while, they noticed each other then exchanged glances and looks with each other. Without noticing it, they were already together, talking to each other. As hours passed, they continued to develop what they felt for each other. The two soon fell in
