Carmelo Anthony decision
Anthony’s Allegiance Not
Written in Stone
The New York Knicks have optained some key players this offseason to help the organization and Anthony win a must needed championship, that hasn’t been seen in the big apple in over 40 years. As this season approaches the elephant in the room must addressed, which is that Melo’s 2 year contract is over. He can decide to “sign a contract in February or wait and opt out in July.” When asked the question Melo responded with a statement that would “soothe” the nerves of New York, Melo stated that he’s “not going nowhere”
February comes Melo will most likely “opt out of his Knicks contract” then come July he’ll “sign a five-year deal for $129 million and happily resume his role as the prince of Broadway”. Melo has every reason to stay with the Knickerbockers. He’s got “the money, the market” and my personal favorite “the chance to be the savior who ends the Knicks 40-year championship drought” On the other hand a lot can happen in ten months, and Melo didn’t only leave Denver because of basketball reasons, he also left because of all the “opportunities” and “outlets” so from a business stand point alone he may stay. However when “all the fashion shows are over” and “all the shoes have sold” he is still an Elite basketball player, who wants to leave a legacy and not only be remembered by just the shoes. In the NBA the level of success is measured by championships and being able to lead your team to the very end and win it all. This is where his decision may change. New York went “7-14 in the playoffs since Anthony arrived” After a couple of first round exists, being swept by Boston and then only winning a game to the Heat , the Knicks made history this year Winning the Atlantic Division and making it to the conference semi-finals. Unfortunately losing to the Indiana pacers 4-2 where Melo had an incredible scoring performance that night. The worst part is the Knicks might have “peaked” as all their rivals have grown.

Everyone assumed that Rajon Rondo was devastated. Memes featuring photos of Rondo and sentences like "WHERE DID EVERYBODY GO?" and "HOW ABOUT HIM? IS HE STILL ON MY TEAM?" started popping up everywhere. But earlier today, Rondo revealed that he actually wasn't all that heartbroken about his former teammates and coach leaving Boston.…

You have to excuse me for sounding naive but I had no idea who Mark Cuban was! After reading about him, I’m not sure I like him. I find his behavior ridiculous and childish from the outside looking in. Only when I began to read about his business savvy did I find Mr. Cuban tolerable. I find that he is a fan/owner but still an owner and he must be a hard worker because you don’t just fall into a position of that caliber. I think he poses a very driven and determined personality and Mark was quoted on Forbes.com as saying the key personality trait that lead to his success is “I worked hard and smarter than most people in the business I have been in”. To me this sound arrogant but it works for him! Therefore, because Mark Cuban believes in himself he can act out as a eccentric fan because he doesn’t seem to mind the money or the respect it costs him.…

Early childhood is the most important phase of development in one’s lifespan as the experiences during childhood sets the course for later stages of development. It has been noted that a mother’s actions during pregnancy may influence the development of an infant. The developmental influences include prenatal, perinatal and neonatal environments. (Santrock, 2002) Although babies come into the world with no say or control over which family they will be placed into, or the environment in which they will begin to live in, theorists agree that the first two years are crucial, with early emotional, physical and social development influenced by the infant’s biological and environmental factors (Sigelman, Rider, & De-George Walker, 2013). The movie ‘Losing Isaiah’ is an indication of the importance of early childhood development and this paper will look at some of the events in Isaiah’s childhood that influenced his development.…
