Caring In The Outsiders
Caring-displaying kindness and concern for others. In a novel, the Outsiders written by S.E. Hinton, Sodapop is a caring brother and friend. S.E. Hinton demonstrates this by using characterization to show how characters change throughout the book. Sodapop is cheerful, protective, and caring. When reading the beginning of the novel, Sodapop is a cheerful person. This character trait can be seen when Ponyboy tells the reader that “He’s always happy-go-lucky and grinning” (2).
