A Business Management and Administration career opportunities are available in every sector of the economy, I picked this career because I have always wanted to work under my own conditions and rules. I want to create a less formal work place for my employees. I want to create a business tat gives back to its community and provides more than “good” service. This paper will justify my career choice, detail my qualifications, and analyze my job opportunities versus risks.
In tenth grade I took a personality test, my results stating that I was an ENFP (Extroverted, Intuitive, Feeling, Perceiving) personality type. ENFP’s are full of enthusiasm and new ideas. Optimistic, spontaneous, creative, and confident, ENFP’s have original minds and a strong sense of the possible. I agree with theses results because I am a very enthusiastic person, and I do have a strong sense of the possible. With this being true about my personality, these skills and characteristics will help me in my career choice by giving me different views on other people’s situations and aspects on different subject.

This book review is on Strengths Finder 2.0. Written by Tom Rath, this book follows and elaborates on Donald Clifton's Strength Finder assessment created in 1998. Strength Finder 2.0 looks to dispel the outdated belief that only weaknesses need to be improved upon. The textbook Psychology Applied to Work describes this concept as positive psychology, "The aim of positive psychology is to shift the emphasis away from what is wrong with people to what is right with people" (Muchinsky & Culberson, pg. 384, 2016). With that premise on its head, Strengths Finder 2.0 looks to first identify the strengths of others and directs them to improve on what they already do so well. Even though the text can be applied practically, the book really focuses…

In some ways, career management has become an independent enterprise, something of a sole proprietorship, or as a recent book reflected in its title, “You Incorporated”. This trend is a clear indication that you must take full responsibility for your life-long career success and satisfaction. Thus, as with any successful business, individual career management should follow the same process that successful organizations use in creating their business plans.…

My work culture results showed that I am well resourced, high powered, and teamwork centered. I noticed that these results were parallel with my interest profiler and competencies results. I was shocked by being considered as high powered. I have never really been a person who wants a lot of responsibility. I have been a lead person on a past job experience. I had the opportunity to be the supervisor but I didn’t apply for it due to fear of failure. I do on the other hand agree with the fact of high salaries, career advancement, and career development. It was revealed to me that some of my better strengths are adhering to values and coping with pressure. It was not hard for me to believe the part about adhering to my values. That is something I do believe in along with ethics. But I didn’t think that coping with pressure would come out as a strength. I guess coping with pressure became a strength for me because I try my hardest to let something’s go and not let people know that it may have bothered me.…
