The capstone project chosen has been thoroughly analyzed multiple times in various ways assuring the safety and security of the person sitting on the wheel chair. Constraint is defined as a form of restriction which prohibits either socially, physically or financially. Constraints can be found in various forms for instance with respect to our project the constraints are both social and physical. The materials chosen have been checked with respect to their load bearing capacities as earlier during market research it was found that there are two materials abundantly available which were steel and aluminum. Since steel was found in various shapes and sizes in comparison to aluminum and more importantly its load bearing capacity …show more content…
The gear mechanism used in supporting the motion of the three wheels not only ensures its stability and safety of system but also provides smoothness in motion. Modification has been done from previous designs of straight frame to curved frames, since the straight wheel was took more thrust to tilt the wheel frame to engage next planetary wheel therefore to avoid those sudden jerks in motion the length of the wheel frame has been shortened and curved so as to provide smoothness and avoid even the slightest risk of failure of system. Now there is no chance of colliding with the stairs during its motion. Overall all the chances of failures or which might have prohibited the smooth mobility of the wheel chair have been removed as much as possible.
Ensuring the reliability, effectiveness, evaluating strength and durability isn’t just for the sake of safety only rather a way of compiling necessary knowledge regarding users which might include designers, providers, producers etc. Keeping updated data of the tests will assist in improvising the wheel chair design further as like there is always room of improvement in all spheres of life similarly there will be always room for our design irrespective of how flawless we might make
