Cannabis Drugs Research Paper
Now that cannabis is becoming both more widely legal and socially acceptable in the United States people are beginning to learn about some of the very practical benefits of the cannabis plant. One of those benefits comes in the form of a compound called cannabidiol, commonly referred to as CBD. The cannabidiol (CBD) compound.
The cannabis plant provides about 85 different compounds. The most predominant and well known of these compounds is tetrahydrocannabinol, also known as THC, which provides the psycho-active effect that marijuana consumers typically seek to enjoy. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that is responsible for many aspects of mood regulation. In many mental health disorders, inadequate or inefficient serotonin production plays a prominent role. The pharmaceutical industry has proliferated various medications over the last decade that attempt to treat serotonin disorders. Unfortunately, the undesired side effects from these medications can be dramatic and painful. The research suggests that CBD could provide valuable treatment in serotonin related mental disorders without harmful side effects.

In this particular study a controlled test was conducted that showed CBD treatment associated with a reduction in brain damage after a brain bleeds. CBD is typically consumed in oil form, either by itself or incorporated into other products. So it is possible to add the tincture oil to a smoothie or other drink as well as applying topically in the form of creams or cleansers.

Reduces nausea and vomiting
Suppresses seizure activity
