She now understands that being a manager requires a great deal of organizational skills, patience and team leading skills to help develop a successful staff and to keep a good balance between efficiency and effectiveness. One key lesson learned is that Sue’s previous negative management experience has likely played a role in the development of her human relations management approach which, according to Williams, “focuses on people, particularly the psychological and social aspects of work”: (2014, p. 34).
