Camera Techniques In The Truman Show
The Truman Show has a unique way of camera angles depicting Truman himself. The camera angle is hidden cameras. The unusual camera angles I can recall are trash cans, clothing, and plants/buildings. In one of the first scenes there is a camera angle that is a mirror. The mirror is a hidden camera and we can see everything that Truman does. Also in one of the first scenes we realize Truman has a fear of dogs. The dog jumps on his and we see through the camera angle of a trash can. The old man is holding the trash can up to get the view. One of the other interesting angle in this scene is the clothing. When Truman is shooing the dog away we see the angle by his clothing and get the view of the dog jumping up at him.
