BUSI 188 Foundations of Leadership: Discovering Your Strengths (1.5 cr.)
Restricted to first-year students in the Assured Admit Program
This course introduces the concepts of strengths-based leadership development to help uncover strengths and maximize potential for overall success. Students will learn how to connect these strengths to all areas of life, including, but not limited to, their academic journey as well as their future career path.

BUSI 409 Advanced Corporate Finance (1.5 cr.)
Prerequisite: BUSI 408 with minimum grade of C
This course provides essential tools that anybody interested in business should know. We will analyze theory and practice of the major financial decisions made by corporations. The goal of the class is to teach you 1) how to value firms and project opportunities using methods drawn from the theory of corporate finance 2) to develop an appreciation of how financing decisions impact project and firm value and 3) how to develop effective ways to visualize and communicate spreadsheet analyses. By definition, the course is designed to be “hands-on”.

BUSI 490-14 Megaprojects in Latin America (in Spanish) (1.5 cr.)
Prerequisite: SPAN 204 or instructor permission
Este curso “Megaproyectos en Latinoamérica” tiene la finalidad de ofrecer a los alumnos la oportunidad de conversar sobre temas de actualidad y de interés público relacionados con mega proyectos realizados o por realizar en Latinoamérica, y a través de estas conversaciones, ejercicios, presentaciones y proyectos, ayudarlos a mejorar su fluidez en el idioma español. En esta clase tocaremos temas relacionados con gasoductos, acueductos, carreteras, aeropuertos, canales, minas, estadios, o expansión de viviendas, entre otros. Nos enfocaremos en algunos proyectos de Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Panamá, Perú, y Brasil, y los alumnos también tendrán oportunidad de seleccionar sus megaproyectos de interés y presentarlos al final de la clase.
