MARKETING RURAL INDIA
AS THE NEXT BPO HUB
ABSTRACT: This presentation deals with the reasons why India is marketing rural India as the next BPO destination. India has transformed itself as the largest BPO industry in the world by using its vast human resource from the preceding years by taking advantage of the English speaking population. Some countries like china, Philippines…… entered the BPO market to tap the share of BPO projects to increase employment opportunities of their countries population by overcoming their language barriers. As a result India lost its NO.1 position in 2011. India can out beat the rest of the countries and increase the share of outsourcing projects by increasing the quantity and quality of the English speaking population and taking over the projects at competitive prices compared to the rest of the world. This is possible only if India transformed itself from off shoring to rural shoring. our research/paper consists why, how, reasons we are marketing the rural India as the next BPO destination.
This paper deals with below concepts: * What is BPO? * Emergence of Rural BPOs * Why rural BPOs? * BPO INDIA * BPO Rural India * Some facts of rural BPOs * Advantages of Rural Youth * Advantages to BPOs if they are in rural areas * Paradigm Shift * Draw backs of Rural BPOs * Why Paradigm Shift from Urban BPO to Rural BPO * Some Rural BPO Companies * Information based on Survey done on some BPO employees
Why MARKETING Rural BPO * Indias English speaking advantage is fast diminishing as countries like china are making huge efforts to increase their English speaking population. * BPO industry is cost sensitive and clients will not hesitate to shift BPOs or move to other countries that offer services at lower costs. * ONLY ONE ANSWER IS ENCOURAGING MORE RURAL BPOs.

We have done research by collecting some information from employees who are working in urban and rural

The case study was very interesting it was based on ethics of the contract agreement entered into by RMC and 17 project labor agreement. The purpose of this case was to see where liabilities fell when certain parties were not abiding by the original agreement that was entered into by RMC and 17 local building trade unions. In the case such questions surrounding these liability factors. After reading the case study Is BE (Bolton Engineering) bound by the terms of the project labor agreement, which it did not directly sign, including the duty to submit this labor dispute final and binding arbitration for resolution? BE is bound by the terms of project labor agreement only when they are working onsite because they did not sign the agreement with labor union directly. BE’s (Bolton Engineering) contract obligations only relies on the contractual agreement made with Rocket Motor Corporation (RMC). The Project labor agreement only meant to apply to work performed on the job site s Bolton Engineering contend, or could the terms the project labor agreement also be applied to offsite work as well as the Union contends? However, the case study does not state the specifics of the labor union agreement that was included in the agreement between Bolton Engineering and Rocket Motor Corporation it did state that a pledge to adhere to project labor agreement previously signed by RMC and the 17 unions was included. But a pledge does not necessarily mean that there was a written signed agreement. Another twist to this case in regards as to where the liabilities fall is Bolton Engineering subcontracted out the work and the work was performed offsite and not on site. The only way I could see that Bolton Engineering would be liable in this case if the agreement states conditions applies to onsite and off-site projects and it was also included in the contract agreement between RMC and BE. In my opinion, I would think that if the pledge was…

Offshore outsourcing, the sending of jobs to lower wage countries, has become a very popular practice amongst U.S. companies seeking ways to cut back on their operating costs. The idea of outsourcing has made for a highly emotional situation because of two dramatically different effects: it leads to layoffs and dislocations for workers. Well-educated workers in other countries are willing to work for a fraction of the wages paid to Americans, resulting in massive savings for American companies. The U.S. imports goods that would cost higher to produce domestically, and it creates and sells to other countries goods that would cost more for them to create on their own. The immediate problem resulting from outsourcing jobs is workers in the U.S. can become unemployed. The problem that causes a debate over outsourcing is even though it promises a better life for all involved; it causes hardships on the American workers when they are laid off. Economists argue that outsourcing is a bad choice because of the workers that are being laid off and displaced.…

Although it is obvious that primary cause of increasing trend of outsourcing is a cost factor, many other benefits come along with outsourcing. Outsourcing allows companies to shift their whole attention on the quality of their core activities without facing the vulnerability of poor level of IT performance. Because no matter what industry a company is in, cost and pressure of having in-house IT solutions require the company to be an expert in IT industry which is difficult to achieve for any size organizations especially for entrepreneurs and small businesses, slowing down their productivity as well as slowing down the economy. Subcontracting IT activities to a specialized vendor company is indeed a win-win situation for the both end, enabling the organization to upgrade its IT performance and providing business to the vendor company. Moreover, with outsourcing, organizations can get access to variable IT skills and knowledge which potentially can improve their efficiency, and outsourcing makes…
