Describe how the organisation has changed | State which stakeholder caused this | Describe how this stakeholder caused this | Tesco plc has recently received a lot of criticism over its activities, which is of great interest to a number of its key stakeholders. Tesco is a massive business which now takes£1 of every £8 spent in UK shops. The company has become increasingly dominant and has expanded into convenience store and hypermarket sectors of retailing. Criticism has been directed at Tesco from various groups, both national organisations and individuals. One of the biggest criticisms it faces is the perceived threat it poses to small businesses due to the monopoly it imposes over products. There is also a belief that they use aggressive tactics to gain land and/or planning permission for building new stores. Other controversial areas concern the treatment of staff and customers, as well as their approach to foreign businesses. The Tesco supermarket chain is often involved in litigation, usually from claims of personal injury from customers, claims of unfair dismissal from staff, and other commercial matters. Tesco has been heavily criticized by the media in the UK and Ireland, among other places, over its comparatively more ruthless and harsh business tactics compared to its rivals, all of whom stand charged, like Tesco, of bullying farmers to lower their prices to unsustainable levels. Tesco has been accused of abandoning the UK Government's planned Eco-town at Hanley Grange in Cambridge. Tesco has been subject to several claims of apparently out-of-date food being 'back-labelled' to appear still to be within date, poor café hygiene and a staff member contracting Legionnaires ‘disease in the store. Tesco has been involved in the following cases in the areas of employment law, personal injury, intellectual property disputes and taxation, amongst others. | PRESSURE GROUPSGOVRENMENTEMPLOYEESENVIRONMENTAL CAMPAIGNERS | Pressure group such as (FOE) points to

WedgeCorp manufactures golf clubs. The clubs have rubberized grips that golfers hold onto to swing them. Neil bought his wife a set of clubs for her birthday. Cindy, Neil’s wife, is an avid golfer and uses the clubs frequently at the local golf course. When WedgeCorp manufactured the clubs, they used improperly mixed glue that did not tightly bond the grips to the end of the clubs. Seven months after acquiring the clubs, Cindy went golfing with her friend, Kate. While Cindy was swinging a five iron, the grip came loose and the club sailed through the air, striking Cindy’s golfing partner, Kate, in the forehead.…

The 30 year fixed mortgage loan seems to be one of the most popular loans people take out because people get to pay back the money over a stretched period of time. The interest rate on a fixed mortgage rate stays the same throughout the life of the loan. Each monthly payment is equal to the interest on the principal and some of the principal amount. Since some of the principal amount was paid off when the loan was taken out, the interest payment on the remaining principal will be a little less each month. The payment is the same each month so some the principal amount is paid off each month. This loan is so popular because of fixed interest rate and lower monthly payments; however because the term is so long, you will have to pay more interest. These rates have been up and down for months now, but on February 21, 2013, according to The Wall Street Journal, the 30-year mortgage rates were at 3.85%. The way these rates are measured is through percentages because it makes it easier to understand its changes. The periodicity of the 30-year mortgage loan rates happen on a daily basis.…

    | I always shopped at Morrisons even after the revamp. The fresh prepared fruit had gone up from £1 to £1.25 and the ‘restaurant pizzas’ were 3 for £2: 50 the week before, but are now 3 for £ 3.00 so I went to Tesco and was surprised at the offers and they gave me £12 voucher off my next shop, when I spend £60. So, I am not going to shop at Morrisons.Again, a recent poll by Sun City “Morri-Poll” reveals the supermarket’s customers are fed up with posh displays such as “misty” exotic vegetables and delis. As one customer, who shopped in Morrisons since 1965 has stopped shopping in the supermarket, while a staff claimed that “I’ve worked for Morrisons for the last six years and the last 16 months have been the worst.” Such type of comments about a supermarket is particularly dangerous, given a study conducted in 1999 by customer service research firm TARP shows that: * One unhappy customer tells ten people about their experience. Each of these ten people tells another five people, meaning up to 50 people get to know of one person's poor experience with a firm. * central-e-commerce unfolds that a dissatisfied consumer will tell between 9 and 15 people about their experience. About 13% of dissatisfied customers will even tell more than 20 people!…
