The article I chose for the review is Addressing Abuse, Harassment and Bullying in Sports. Athletes must feel safe and comfortable in their training setting in order to gain the most benefit from the program. The role of the Strength and Conditioning coach is to make that for the athletes. All facilities should have a Policies and Procedures Manual in open sight. It must include emergency action plan for each sport or activity, guidelines regarding prevention and reporting of abuse. It should be clear of the codes of practice, education and training opportunities to everyone that wants to know. Coaches need to find way to have practice and keep students "space". One of the best ways to allow the athlete to remain comfortable at the training environment is to use auditory cues and there will be no physical contact with the athletes.…

Bullying is an emotinally draining issue prominent across the world today. Bullying is unacceptable, and there are many, if not several movements in an effort to end bullying once and for all. Throughout the course of this essay, I am going to discuss the issue of bullying, and formulate an argument towards the issue at hand. In this argument, I will show my support in the fight against bullying. A lot of things have changed throughout the course of time; however, it is still prominent throughout the world today. Bullying is inhumane, and needs to end; what do you think? Do you think the fights against bullying are effective? Do you all think that everything is right in the world? Wrong! Despite all the fights against bullying; it still happens. Why? Well, that is what this essay is about.…

Bullying has existed as long as humans have and it’s just a fact of life that we have to live with. there is no getting rid of bullying because there is no way to completely stop it. Therefore, we need to at least try and minimize the problem as much as we can. When the term bully is spoken we often think of little kids getting their lunch money taken away from them by a much bigger peer or getting teased because of an abnormality or social statues. But bullying goes much more into depth than that. To put in a bigger perspective I am going to give an example of a type of bullying that most people over look. Bullying Bullying has become a big issue for both parents and children, with more and more children either being a bully themselves or being a victim. It is not just the fact that children are afraid while they are at school, but that the bullying still affects them while they are at home too. With all the different ways to bully someone now a days, no child can really feel safe anymore even in their own homes. Although before we just worried about making sure that the child that was starting the confrontations was punished, we now have to ask ourselves why it is that this child has become a bully in the first place. We don’t just have to keep an eye on the victim, but also the perpetrator. Something needs to be done so that we can find an effective way of dealing with bullies, without making the situation worse. Before we could just send the bully to the principal’s office and give him detention, and believe that they would learn their lesson and quit picking on children younger/weaker than them. Though now we are finding out that this just makes the situation worse for the children being picked on, the bully blames them for them getting in trouble and starts to harass them even more. That’s not all though, before it could have just been that a child was being called names by someone else, but as soon as that child was punished for it they start to up the ante on the bullying to physical violence. We have to start asking ourselves what it is that we can do to put a stop to this. We can’t keep an eye on our children all of the time, we have work and they have school where most of this is happening. Teachers try to keep an eye on every student…
