“Eh, what’s up doc?” when you hear that saying, immediately you think of the famous icon Bugs Bunny. Bugs Bunny appeared in his first short cartoon, The Wild Hare, in 1940. He has been in many movies and shows like “Space Jam”, “Looney Tunes” and “Daffy Duck’s Fantastic Island”.
Children look up to him because he is very resourceful. He can sway a discussion by his clever use of words. He knows how to win; he uses whatever is available to his advantage. He succeeds where others fail because he waits for the opponent to make the first move. With Bugs Bunny, fair is fair. He has demonstrated that even the weakest among us should be protected. For example, he watches out for little bunnies, lost penguins and old ladies. He has charisma and charm that wins people over and inspires devotion. Bugs Bunny always has new ideas up his sleeve because he never doubts that he will find a solution if he keeps trying. He always wins because he tries his hardest to outsmart and outwit every opponent. The audience always loves a winner, especially a witty one! He has outsmarted everyone from Elmer Fudd to the genius Wile E. Coyote. Also he is a master of exploiting the opponent’s weaknesses, such as Emler Fudd’s gullibility and Yosimite Sam’s temper. Bugs Bunny forces his co-stars to get better by making them learn the hard way from their mistakes. A great example is when he fooled Wile E. Coyote by putting two fuses on the dynamite. He is happy to wear whatever costume necessary to get the job done, like being an opera singer and the first bunny in space, he has even dressed up as a girl on many occasions. He is never afraid of what others may think of him and doesn’t let others bring him down.
