Planning Memo for Hacker Attorney

Mission Statement:
I will show Brookside Community Hospital that by accepting my proposal to allow Black Computer Systems Inc. to complete delivery on our current contract, while Brookside finalizes payments to Black Computer Systems Inc. for said contract that did not require data entry software development, and signs a new contract with Black to develop hospital specific data entry software and electronic forms for Brookside that are compatible with the newly installed interface systems, Brookside will continue to enjoy the benefits of the improved systems already in place while working toward a fully integrated system within one year and allowing staff members to continue to become accustomed to the new systems without a great deal of additional training costs or the need to start from square one with a new system.
Issues: Was Black responsible for developing the data entry software: Depth: Highly significant
This is the primary issue to be resolved. If this is resolved then the rest of the issues should fall in line. Brookside would be liable for the terms of the contract.
Who will develop and implement the data entry technology: Significant.
Black feels that this is ultimately Brookside’s responsibility to get this data entry software in place, but is willing t assist if Brookside is willing to pay. The contract does not explicitly state that Black is responsible, and with a task as involved and expensive as this, the contract should probably be clear in this respect if Black is to be held responsible.
Finalize delivery and payment of original order.: Highly Significant
Black would like to be paid 4.2 million for completion of the original contract and to deliver the product as planned. Brookside will have to move to electronic records one way or the other, and to scrap a system that is nearly complete would not make sense.
Black’s Interests:
1. Justice/fair-play - Important – Black would like to be paid for the work that

For a nation to grow and come together there must be reparations in various form to correct these past injustices. He presents several types of reparations that could ease the white guilt, as well as acknowledging the effects of racism towards African Americans. One type of reparation he discusses is a financial one involving calculating the wag gape between white and black Americans, the difference would go to African Americans for perhaps ten years or so (Coates). A financial reparation not only recognizes the past of discrimination in the workforce that largely caused poverty in black communities but it would also aide poor black Americans that have suffered because of this discrimination. Another form is a bill that has been proposed in congress serval times called the HR 40, the Commission to Study Reparation Proposals for African Americans Act (Coates).…

However, it became clear early in the mediation that Rapid was not in a good financial state. So, winning a legal battle could ultimately end up being a loss for Scott if Rapid filed for bankruptcy. To add to all of this, after contacting the Innocence project, who then contacted WilmerHale, Bozella found out that prosecutors withheld information that was key to him getting his life back. He found that witnesses were contradicting what the two men who testified against Bozella, had said. Moreover, the witnesses information made more sense than what the two men testified. The fact that the prosecutors held evidence that could have changed a man’s life, but decided not to release the evidence just because he was black, serves to prove that injustice is an ugly and downright despicable monster.…

Similarly, in the case of reparations for African Americans, if a number to make up for reparations could not be reached, the simple study of the history of maltreatment of women is important because it shows the government is aware that there is problem on how women are treated. Just as Coates talked about altering the way Americans look at our nation’s history, the reparation for women would be rewiring how society looks at rape. To teach people that it is never the women’s fault, but the clearly disturbed men.…

Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, movements to obtain civil rights for black Americans have had historical significance. More justices were retrieved back then than it is today. Why is that? During the Civil Rights Era, African Americans obtain more justice than African Americans today, because of the greater number of citizen's involvement, boldness, and non-violent protests.…

Slavery was abolished in America 150 years ago, however, the color line it created is very much still alive. From the overtly racist Jim Crow laws to the discriminatory covert practices within the housing industry today, there is a clear division of white versus black, superior versus inferior that divides the nation. In her article “The Case for Reparations,” Ta-Nehisi Coates makes the case for why African Americans should be paid back for all of the injustices they had to, and continue to, endure. Granting reparations would be more than just handing out money to blacks to make up for the astronomical wealth gap certain discriminatory actions and policies have created, though. Coates said that making “reparations to those on whose labor and…

Although the government benefited from the Caltex building plant in South Africa, African Americans did not. “Generally speaking, therefore, standards concerned with moral rights have greater weight than either utilitarian standards or standards of justice” (Velasquez, 2006). Caltex had a code that was a violation of rights and justice to African Americans working conditions. The South African law required detached services and laws that prohibited blacks from becoming apprentices. I think that moral rights and of justice is more important and should be considered in any situation or conflict.…
