Breaking The Trailer
An example of sequence occurs at the work place. Owning a company can be a gift and a curse, because you have so many responsibilities. I often have to reflect on the duties of being a driver rather than the owner. So I first pulled up on the lot and parked, knowing that I need to drop that trailer and hook up to another one. I remembered first to unhook the glad hands, pull the pin and then unwind the legs that hold the trailer up. At that point, it would be safe to pull from under the trailer. A list of steps in my thoughts becomes the basis of my task at hand. I would hook up to the next trailer with the same steps in the opposite order. I felt complete and secure when I remembered the steps, and now I completed the task. I felt great to …show more content…
I was planning to upgrade my sons room. I asked my costituate to aid me in this endeavor and he agreed. I wanted to start off with paint and border, so I took a trip to Home Depot where I planned to take one their classes on these subjects. This was on a Thursday ,and I was there at 7:00 am as scheduled to take a home decor class. The class was for 2 hours and then another class started at 10:00 am. I was so overwhelmed with information that I ended up taking both classes trying to get all the information they had to offer. I got a lot of frowns of disgust from my peers, because I was asking a lot of questions. The only stupid question is one that was not asked, but that did not help their frustration. I laughed apologetically, but I could not pass up free information.

(Technical Reasoning-29-Use First-Strong Willed)
My use first technical reasoning started when I got my first car. Most people now would call it a 'hooptie', but it was mine. Everything was fine until it broke down on me , and I had no money to get it fixed. I had to rely on my technical reasoning. I worked into the night to figure out the problem, and the next day I began the fixing process. I took apart the starter and began to identify with why my car would not start. I had a broken wire on the starter, so instead of hiring a mechanic I fixed the problem myself and put the starter back on the car.

Chronological - Information presented in time sequence, either forward or backward, is chronological. This organization pattern works well in explaining events over time such as monthly sales figures for the past year. Chronological ordering is useful in describing history or development, such as background leading to a personnel/management disagreement. Chronological sequencing of ideas is necessary to show time relationships.…

I approached the teacher before their next lesson and explained how the children took time to process instructions and that if they were laughing and joking about it would take afew minutes to calm down and get focused on what was required next. The teacher glared at me and then very sharply told me not to tell her how to do her job. I was mortified .I explained i was just trying to point out how they reacted and felt when she shouted at them for not instantly stopping and getting on with the next task. I apologised if she felt i had offended her. At the end of the lesson, she came over and said she was sorry for over reacting, and now realised i worked with them more than she did, and actually had a point, and she would allow time for them to settle. I feel that by me not getting into a confrontation with her made a lot of difference, and we was able to sort the problem out sensibly.…

In the 2011 Movie Trailer Limitless directed by Neil Burger, Eddie Morra, played by Bradley Cooper, is given a translucent pill that lets him access more than just 20% of his brain; all of it actually. Consequently, he’s able to focus on tasks and work at a highly efficient rate that a human has never before been able to do. The trailer, and movie as a whole, seemed to correlate to the course theme of work and leisure because it presents a style of work that essentially changes his whole lifestyle including his work, leisure, and himself as a person. The movie trailer for Limitless helps illustrate that increasing efficiency has limitless opportunities in any field that one pursues, and it may jumpstart a way to do so with the future of central nervous system stimulants. Efficiency in work increases leisure time and the overall quality of life as a whole.…

Today I was placed in Mrs. Perez classroom which consists of toddlers ages three and four. Considering that it was a nice day outside the lead teacher, Mrs. Perez instructed the two assistants and an aide as well as an older teenager who I believe was a volunteer to take the children out to enjoy it. She mentioned to me she wanted to take advantage of the extra help she had so she can get going on some activities she was trying to get together. I offered to stay in and help this time instead of following to observe the children at play. She just asked me to do basic stuff like many copies of papers that had huge letters on it with some sort of cartoon next to it (Queen for Q, R for rat and S for Sun I recall) and cut out some letters shapes.…

I felt it took me a lot longer than everyone else to get used to the system, and because the class was quite noisy, at times i was unable to hear what Heather was saying. I did ask another student to explain certain things to me, but I felt I was distracting them from their own studies. By the end of the session I felt no clearer about doing a literature search on my own. Even though I had narrowed my search down to 12 hits, this had happened with help from another student, and I didn’t feel confident enough to know how to go about it on my own. I felt confused and overwhelmed, but I was too embarrassed to stay behind and ask for more help. Fortunately we had all been given a hand-out as well, to enable us to keep practising in our own time. When I got home I looked through the booklet, and found after reading it several times it began to sink in, I got straight back on the computer and accessed the search engine immediately.…

I’m going to be completely honest and say that I didn’t do much to prepare for the presentation. I had other things planned out for my presentation. I wanted to make a soccer field and compare how the defender, goalie, midfielders, and the forwards represent my family, but it was already 10 p.m. when I started my shield and I didn’t have construction paper to rap the shield with green and make the soccer field. So instead I just made a poster and put the topics on it. I was going to print the pictures at home because we had a printer at home. When I started the poster, I also noticed the printer had no ink. It had run out of ink. I was really nervous because I had no clue how I was going to do my presentation; I have no study halls before my oral comp. class. On the day of my presentation I had to wake up at 6 a.m. which is way earlier than I’m normally waking up. Normally I wake up at 7:30 a.m. and prepare myself for school, but I had to wake up at 6 a.m. because my only option then was to go to school really early and use the printer here. I know it wasn’t the best Idea to work on the presentation a couple hours before I had to present. I had no time to go over the presentation because of the time…

I’m a member of the Filmmaker’s Society and recently had to take on a big leadership role at the end of last semester. As treasurer of the club I’m in charge of soliciting funding from the student council each semester and I have to attend a hearing to get our budget approved. Last semester, however, no one in our club was ever notified about the upcoming budget hearings until the day of. Since the budget had always been my duty, it was my responsibility to get the job done in a matter of hours before our hearing. Our budget basically consists of production equipment ranging from cameras to props and I had to go to many different officers in the club to get a sense of what we needed to out on our budget. I had quickly meet with the equipment manager, the president of the club, the officer in charge of running the film festival, and our social chair to figure what each one of them needed while still maintaining a lean budget. Overall, I was able to meet with 3 of them and tried to get as much of what they needed as possible.…

Nothing can be truly argued without passing through one’s criticism and reflection on the topic. “Logic is all about reasons. Every day we consider possibilities, we think about what follows from different assumptions, what would be the case in different alternatives, and we weigh up competing positions or options. In all of this, we reason. Logic is the study of good reasoning, and in particular, what makes good reasoning good.”…

I took a seat on the big couch and joined many other people in a role of a student. Costumes included jeans, shorts, t-shirts, and sweatshirts for students and casual attire for staff members. Scattered props were books, computers, printers, papers, pens and pencils, chairs and tables, and whiteboards. Scripts are limited to asking for help, so not to disturb anyone. A few students studied textbooks from their classes. Most used computers to write papers and do research, though. Occasionally staff would assist someone, like the student that needed instructions on how to use the printer. Other than that they sat silently behind their desks. After I was there for a bit, a loud commotion came from two students talking and laughing loudly by the door. This deviant behavior earned them disapproving looks from everyone else. At age five, I learned that the library was to be peaceful and orderly. Teachers and librarians did their best to instill that proper behavior within each student. Ever since that young age I have accepted that norm and conformed to it, as most people have. This disturbance shows that a small amount of people were not taught to respect and follow that same belief, or they just do not care. I also know that, for me, it is very hard to absorb and retain information or concentrate on a task if there’s noise and activity around. That is another reason I obey the unspoken rules of the…

Although sequence is something that I use as needed, I feel as though I use this everyday. I make list during the day of things that need to be done at home, and work. I use this first on regards to school work, I list out what needs to be done and when it needs to be in. I use this as needed when I am at work, because when dealing with kids you can only plan so much before plan fall apart. I completely avoid this when dealing with my son, there is no planning or list making with a one year old.…
