In the community aspect, visiting and touring the atmosphere made me realize how close the arts students are towards each other. This connection exemplifies what I would want in a community: a community full of kindness and support.
Additionally, within the college of visual arts, the majors are all fascinating and impressive. Undergraduates can study graphic design alongside other majors and other disciplines, also they can study at the School’s study abroad program in Venice, Italy. This was fearsome. My comfort zone was purely 2D: drawing, painting, photography, design, and not 3D.
In the moment, one couldn’t help but notice numerous swift hand movements, but I just attempted to ignore that and focus. All the faces were astonishing; every single piece remained crafted to exactitude. I contemplated: “What the…How did these guys form the wire when mine looks like a metal pancake?” Time stood against me, most of the students were already ahead of me and this made me bite my nails. My hands felt paralyzed by all the cuts, pokes, and bruises the wire carved on my fingers. All I could do was pay attention to the sudden restless thoughts in my head. I threw it away.
