Many people today find themselves in the situation of making choises considering different situations. From important day life issues to small details in our lives, we are forced to think about the best solutions to live good lives. One interesting aspect today, because of technology development is choosing between reading a book or watching a movie. Well, at a first view this shouldn’t raise any problems because if take a decision depending on your mood in that particular moment. But what if there is a book that some people decided to make a movie inspired from it? What do you do then? Do we leave the book aside to watch the movie and save valuable time, or we choose to read the book and spend some quality moments reading? This issue has been discussed over and over again and until today nobody has reached a conclusion. The question here might be: WHY? Is it because we are different and have ideas based on our own life style, or is it just because we, as people cannot make up our mind when we face this problem? Most of the people who wrote about this subject finally got to the conclusion that is good to watch a movie inspired from great authors, as well is good to read a certain book. The arguments in this perspective are numerous depending from what point of view you look at the subject. Some think that it is positive getting to see an actor bring a character to life whereas there are voices that are in favor of books because here the possibilities are limitless, hindered only by your own imagination. In movies you are limited to the creativity of the writers, actors and directors, while in books your mind is free to wander and focus on every little detail the author portrays. A film is made up according to the director’s feelings in those particular moments, so the movie remains the same for always, but with books you are FREE!! Your feelings could change day to day,

Why is it that when a book gets it’s own movie that there are several differences between the book and the movie? Some people argue that the book is always better than the movie. There is a reason for this. Firstly, in most book to movie adaptations small details are changed or are just not included. Secondly, the movie often takes short cuts and doesn’t touch on certain aspects that were described in the book. Lastly, when reading a book you are free to make your own subtext and fill in the blanks with your imagination. The movie adaptations of books have always lacked the detail that's in the book, some things are completely cut from the movie to maintain a well paced story, and it fills in the gaps for us making the experience less unique.…

Usually when talking about a movie or a book, it hard to discuss the similarities and the differences. Because sometimes a movie can be more influencing than a book and vice versa. When I first started reading the book The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, I was confused at first but then as I kept reading, I realized how things can go a certain way and how one person can make a change in the whole world without even meaning to. Personally, what I…

When you read a book do you visualize the movie in your head? When books are turned into movies most the time the author’s message is ruined, and the integrity of the novel. When someone writes a novel they write it from their point of view, their vision, it’s their story. But when a director hears, or reads the book they see it differently and from their point of view. Novels become a different novel when turned into a Hollywood movie because no one visualizes the same characters, settings or themes.…

Movies and books are always different; in a movie you can show multiple characters, and in most books you're stuck in one character's narrative. For instance in the book The Giver the character Fiona doesn’t care about Jonas as deeply as she does in the movie. In the movie she stops her injections, and she starts to love Jonas. However in the book she only “enjoys having Jonas’s company”. In the movie she also helps Jonas steal Gabe before he is killed, and she is put in the community jail for helping him. Before she is going to be released she talks about how she has felt things. That she knows what it is like to truly feel, and in the book she isn’t this unorthodox.…

Book vs. Movie Some people say that the movie is better than the book but is it really? In this argument I will discuss how the book is better than the movie. In this case the book “The Lightning Thief” is better than the movie because the book includes all fun and exciting scenes that help and make you use your imagination a lot more than the movie itself. The movie excludes characters that are important and some that are but, either way characters make the movie happen so they should be included they also make a better scenery.…

Stephen King, an American author and director once said, ¨Books and movies are like apples and oranges. They both are fruit, but taste completely different.¨ In other words, both are meant to entertain, but they are not always appealing in the same ways. A movie based on a book can sometimes give the viewer a very different feeling than the original reading experience. The movie, A Raisin in the Sun, is much better than the book by Lorraine Hansberry, because the movie includes additional scenes that allow for further detail about the Youngers’ lives; this did not occur in the book.…

Honestly, movies are easier at trying figure out their theme then books. For books, you need to use more auditory focus to find the theme, but when watching a movie you need equal amount of visual and auditory to truly see the theme of that particular movie. Books take more time then movies, but they go more in depth. It adds more details and ideas to theme of a book then someone watching a movie. Honestly I prefer movies only for enjoyment and books for figuring out the structure that the author had put the time into for the reader to…

Having considered the above aspects, we need to unravel more paths to this argument. Although watching movies and reading fictions seem to share a few traits, they appear to diverge on many fronts. Initially, in contrast to the former, the latter involves more timing. For example, a four hundred page novel takes almost three weeks, whereas a movie takes about two hours. Moreover, they harbor a controversy regarding privacy. It provides an important pillar for solitude.…
