The Types of Teachers In general, there are three different types of teachers encountered throughout the whole school career, from elementary, middle, and to high school. Most students know that the type of teacher that they are given can have great effects on their success in that class. The three most common types of teachers are the positive teachers, the negative teachers, and the neutral teachers. A positive teacher is the teacher who genuinely loves the subject that their teaching, someone that makes an effort to learn every student's name, and who will go to great lengths to help their students understand what they are teaching. When given a positive teacher, a student feels respected so they will give that same respect back. A positive teacher explains her subject in a way that every student understands. This type of teacher will check on her students while they are working to see if they have any questions and to make sure that they are on the right track. The positive type of teacher will not continue to move on to different subjects when half of her students still do not quite understand the subject that they are on. When dealing with a positive teacher a student will leave the class knowing that subject well and have good grades in the end. A negative teacher is a teacher who does not really care about what they are teaching. They are there simply because they are getting paid to be there. A negative teacher has little patience and could care less about the students he is teaching. This type of teacher will show favoritism and have a very bad attitude. The negative teacher will teach a lesson with very little detail and information, when they are done teaching they will make little effort to answer student's questions and assign them classwork and or homework, not caring if the student has retained the information or not. When dealing with this type of teacher a person will not be very successful in this class. Their test scores and grades will be low but it would be no fault of their own. A neutral teacher knows a few of their students but not all. The neutral teacher has very little interest in the subject that they are teaching. They will allow sometime for questions and discussion, but not enough time to be sure that the entire class gets the subject. The neutral teacher does not really care if the students understand their work or not as long as they know they have done their job by teaching the subject and passing out an assignment. This type of teacher will only care about their student's grades because they know that it looks bad on their part if the whole class failing. The neutral teacher does give their student's ways to contact them outside of school if they need help or do not understand something. When dealing with a neutral teacher a student will have neutral grades, they will make C's and D's. Teachers are a great part of a students school success. The way that they teach, their helpfulness, and passion about the subject that they are teaching all play a vital part in what type of teacher they are. If a student is struggling in a class, The teacher plays a big part of it. If a student is doing great in a class, I believe that teacher has something to do with it. Teachers are an important part of our learning process, whether it be academics or just life period.

The Existentialists say man is free to choose yet the choice and having to choose is inevitable and this is seen in The Destructors where T is moved to a position of leadership as he made the choice to do something different even though the vote had already taken place. In Existentialist belief due to the exact same choice man is always anxious and hesitant, not knowing whether his choice is proper or not, is it accepted by others or not, and this is seen so clearly in the story:…

Almost every student has an experience with an unlikeable teacher. In general, teachers are good at what they do. Those who are bad are usually bad in a generic way- those that assign too much homework or are too strict. Rarely do children experience truly awful instructors, the kind that make students dread coming to school. When I was nine, I had one such teacher.…

Teachers all learn different ways and all have different teaching abilities. Students all also have a specific way they learn. The two teachers that have made the biggest impact in my life were my AP English teacher Mrs. Fale and my Chemistry teacher Mr. Barrington. They both had great qualities I admired, including; great structure, willingness to help, patience, and kindness. My AP English teacher was understanding and helped me know exactly the format and what I needed to work on for my papers. Mr. Barrington, my Chemistry, on the other hand, loved when we would ask questions and teach our classmates, he was very hands on.…

The positive teachers are by far the most agreeable teachers. A positive teacher is one who seems interested in his subject and his students. The first thing a positive teacher does is try to learn all of the student’s names. This kind of teacher allows for questions and discussions in class and does not seem to mind if a student disagrees with him. A positive teacher shows his interest out of class as well. Not only is he available for conferences, but he encourages students to see him if they need help. The students tend to feel comfortable in the presence of this teacher. A good example of a positive teacher is my French teacher, Monsieur Poirrot. He always allows time during the class hour for some free discussion. Once, when some of the students in our class were having trouble with the pronunciation of the rolled “r” in French, he took several hours of his own time to work with us in very small groups in his office until we had mastered the sound. Unfortunately, teachers like monsieur Poirrot are relatively small in number.…

A good teacher attempts to use all types of learning styles in order to reach out to all types of learners. All students learn at different paces, and work better with some learning styles rather than others. I feel that teachers that have good relationships with their students and get down to their level will be very successful. I also feel the teachers have to be respectful towards the students and vice versa. Having a good communication with the parents is also something teachers need to have.
