Scout, who is courageously bold, is very opinionated. Dill, Jem, and Scout, are all born with a truly adventurous spirit.

Dill is a a very brave and daring young boy when the story begins. Since he was only six, he became increasingly intrigued by the events that occurred and the people who inhabit Maycomb County. Dill plots scheme after scheme in an attempt to lure Boo Radley out for the whole wide world to see. “Let's try to make him come out”, said Dill, “I'd like to see what he looks like”. (Page 13). He is quite intelligent, and well educated. When the story begins, Jem is only 10 years old. He is Jean Louise's brother, and he truly never lacks the capability to be bravely daring. “In all of his life, Jem had never declined a dare”, (Page 3). The Mockingbird symbolizes innocence, hope and peace. Harper Lee: To Kill a Mockingbird is one of the greatest books I have read. While reading the book I have chose some people to be mockingbirds. I chose Atticus and Tom Robinson to be mockingbirds. I chose these two particular people because they both play a wonderful part in the book and haven't done anything horrible. They just try to help others out and never lied once.…

Jem, for instance, is a character who does not act how a typical boy is supposed to, challenge the stereotypes of males. Another example is Atticus, a lawyer and the father of the narrator. Lastly, Boo Radley, a man prejudged by the entire town, ends up being the biggest hero in Harper Lee’s book. In summary, Jem, Atticus, and Boo Radley are all people who contribute to the novel’s theme of challenge stereotypes and prejudice.…

Actions such as this one allows the reader to realize that creating stories and lies are all part of Dill’s childish and creative personality. Dill matures out of his previous childhood ways throughout the book. The young boy may seem like he is always cheerful and optimistic, but he actually becomes aware of what actually happens around him. In chapter 19, Dill has an emotional breakdown during Tom Robinson’s trial and says, “I don’t care one speck. It ain’t right, somehow it ain’t right to do ‘em that way” (Lee 199). Dill is referring to the way Mr. Gilmer speaks to Tom. Dill understands it is not right the way the citizens of Maycomb treat people of color. Despite the fact that he is young, Dill understands the problems of the adults’ world. The theme of how children eventually mature, but still search for the happy ways of life even in rough times is shown through the character of…

Jem is not special to this kind of case. Interestingly, the progressions he experiences are seen from the perspective of a more youthful sister, which gives a special point of view on his development. Jem speaks to bravery in the novel, and the way that his definition changes through the span of the story is important. The movement that happens most likely has as much to do with age as experience, despite the fact that the encounters give a superior structure to the reader. At the point when the story starts, Jem's concept of bravery is basically touching the side of the Radley house and after that simply because "In all his life, Jem had never declined a challenge." But as the story advances, Jem finds out about braveness from Atticus confronting a mad dog, from Mrs. Dubose's battle with addiction, and from Scout's encounter with the horde at the prison, among others. What's more, along the way, he develops from a kid who drags his sister along as a co-plotter to a youthful man, who secures his Scout and tries to help her comprehend the implications of the surroundings around her.…

In To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Jem shows courage every day to his sibling and friends and other townspeople. Lee tries to show that courage can be defined in many different ways, and that courage doesn't have to mean that a person is brave, although it can be someone who is brave. Through Jem Lee can show what courage can really means, by Jem`s actions and by how he is seeing about the world around him. Jem Protects his sister and Dill constantly, and he learned to do that from Atticus and now he is teaching Scout and Dill how to act. He will respect adults, yet when he is in danger with another adult he will do whatever it takes to protect his family. In the novel, courage is when someone is willing to do anything to help someone…

Dill is a very imaginative friend of Scout’s. He is always making up imaginative stories and is fascinated with little things. I believe the reason that Dill is so imaginative is because he is modeled after Harper Lee’s real life friend Truman Capote. Truman Capote was also an imaginative person that played a large influence on much of Lee’s life. I believe that he is fascinated with Boo because of his childlike intuition. It also adds excitement to their lives and something to do each day. Since many people only know rumors of Boo, I believe that they would like to find out what the real Boo is like. What Dill brings to Scout and Dill’s life is a sense of adventure. It is a new person for them to play with rather than each other, and his imaginative stories make them want to go out and have adventures of their own. Although Dill often lies and runs away, I believe he is a mainly positive influence. He adds a feeling of excitement to their lives and agrees with Atticus’ beliefs of do not judge a person until you have lived a day in their shoes.…
