Information Systems Proposal
In opening a new business we must take a look at the types of information systems to use to launch our business out the public. As a new nostalgic record store we must see ways for us to buy and sell records. In this summary I will be proposing two types of information systems with descriptions of each type and why it would be best suited for our record store.
First I will start with the most important in my opinion and that is E-Commerce or Electric Commerce. This type of Information system is all handled electronically and expands our business on the Internet. With E-Commerce it helps with marketing on the Internet, handling electronic payments and even keeping our customers updated with promotions. With todays technology more people are starting to get smart phones that has the capability of connecting to the Internet without a computer or laptop and with the creation of an app though Google Play or Apple Store it brings our products closer to our customers. Payments could be made through these applications and the customer can come in and pick up there items they have purchased. Besides promoting and selling to our customers it also would benefit us as a business. As a business E-Commerce can also help us with inventory and keeping track of what is selling and what is not. As a record store promotions are important so our marketing must be top of the line and though email we can promote effectively and still be a green friendly store.
Next we move on to our next information system, which is business to consumer. With business to consumer we sell directly to our consumer. This would avoid any problems with putting our products out on say EBay or websites of that sort. Since our store would be both online and in person this would help our customers who want to sell there old records to us and get a direct price or store credit in

Old Time Store will allow customers to find the music they have listened to and enjoyed for years. The store will have worldwide providers that focus on hard to find musical hits. Information systems will provide a way to transfer the critical information to place orders and in a format that is easy for each customer. This system can be used to develop many diverse areas, plan, and manage the daily operations to nurture the future growth of the company.
