Stem cell research has been taking place since the late 1800’s when scientists from all over the world studied stem cells in plants, rodents, and humans in order to propagate and find cures for disease. (Boston Children’s Hospital, 2016). When looking at DNA replication, it can be very confusing and makes one wonder, “which came first, the nucleus or the DNA?” It certainly made me wonder. In the wake of stem cell research and the controversy that surrounds it, I hope to shed some light on how DNA is replicated into RNA and how the …show more content…

    One short term response when playing basketball is when your face starts to go red, this happens because the body gets too hot and it tries to cool the body down by bringing blood to the surface of the skin to let some heat out and the skin also produces sweat to let out heat, therefore the skin surface goes red. It 's just like an elastic band, when you stretch an elastic band a lot of times, the friction of the band generates heat, and you 'll find that you will be able to stretch it even further. An immediate change in the cardiovascular system as a result of playing basketball is that the blood pressure increases, this cardiovascular response happens because when exercising, your blood needs to work harder in order to supply your muscles with more oxygen. Your heart does this by pumping more blood around the body with more powerful contractions which therefore raises your blood pressure. Your systolic blood pressure increases during exercise as the cardiovascular system delivers more blood to the working muscles and your diastolic blood pressure stays roughly the same or decreases slightly and this is all to do with the dilated blood vessels in the working muscles that let heat escape.     There is a problem that seems to be surrounding our community that is having an effect on the health of our neighbors. Our community is new and we have grown to become something like one big family so this problem will take its toll on all of us. There is something around us causing our neighbors including our children to get sick, because of the unknown circumstances this not a good thing for any of us. The first thought that I had was that the developer of the community had done something wrong and caused the problem. This inspector informed me that we should perform other tests like maybe on the gas lines that had been put in. After the meeting with the inspector me and several neighbors met up because they were also concerned about this problem and together we decided that we would take a trip to visit the gas company and express our concerns so that perhaps they could look into the problem as well by having one of their professionals to come out and meet with us. Once we visited the gas company the next day several of their employees came out and started performing all kinds of different tests. It took them several days but it was found that the pipes which had been installed were not equipped and therefore caused vapors to escape, the vapors were not strong enough to smell but we were inhaling them which was causing the illnesses that had taken over…
