Rudeness at the Movies
On average, most Americans go out to public places to eat and for activities. Majority might agree that public outings are no longer as pleasant of an experience. Going to the movies is becoming one of the less appealing outings for the general public. Movie goers alike can see that reasons such as, overly disruptive teens, obnoxious gabbers, and uncontrolled theaters are to blame for the decline of enjoyment and satisfaction at the movies.

Overall respect is on a decline. There’s nothing respectful about the majority of movie goers being disruptive and it’s unbearable. From the cell phone users to the litter-bugs, and the crying babies to the marathon talker, a genuinely good time at the movies is starting to become scarce. Surprisingly, the movies seemed to be filled more and more with audiences who not only accept but add on to the chaos. It is not acceptable for people to act with such a blatant disregard for others attending a movie for enjoyment. I used to be a frequent movie-goer, but due to the rudeness of others my attendance has wavered. Even the mere thought of going to the movies brings on a slight cringe because of who might be there to ruin it. I have witnessed popcorn battles, screaming matches, and missed movie parts. I feel height, bad smell, and the occasional ringing cell phone is forgettable, but continuous talking or altercations makes the movies less enjoyable. I definitely feel strong about the fact of ushers not really doing their job. If they used their authoritive rights the theater would be a much more respectable place. Bill Wine definitely hit all the marks in exposing the problems at the movies, vocalizing all the things that many of us alike feel.
