BIG JIM GYM
BIG JIM’s GYM

Big Jim is in the body building business for many years in Glendale , California. The gym is for both memn and women and has seperate facilities for both the segments. All the gyms have been located in a complex which has a pizza corner just above the gym . This might be a strategy wherein pizza lovers are given a soft signal of the health fitness they need to care about and there by giving a base of custmers to the Big Jim’s Gym. The moto of the gym is “full range body building and weight reduction”.

The gym has been working like a organisation with 20 employees and boasts of the state of the art equipments for both men and women. The sauna bath and the pool also include in the infrastructure. They have propsed a 20 steps condition course for men and a special diet package for women and serve as an introductory course with the rest leaving the people to practice at their pace.

Prior to this Big Gym was engaged in an army camp. Jim belived to have a good health a spartan like tough enviornment is required for physical and mental strength. All the invetories are well stacked up and regularly filled up.
Jim believes in a busy working enviornment , he has scheduled his workers such that every alternate hour they cahnge jobs and make sure the equiments are used at full capacity. Boasting of the state of the art facilities , he also turns down request of few customers to allow them to access the facilities at peak hours giving a reason they need to pay the price for using the up to facilities.

This has not been well taken by customers and the no. of customers have been gradually switching sides from Jim’s Gym. The employees too are paid just above the average of the competing fitness centres and are mostly college graduates. The turnover has been decreasing over last 6 months due to members switching side even though the euipments are well fully utilized. The competing centres too have the state of the facilities.

I propose that in order to retain

It is comprised of people and opportunities that allow rams to have fun, be healthy, and learn new things. Our job is to make sure that our ram family has facilities to use at whatever time is convenient for their schedules; as well as a staff that can support their needs quickly and efficiently. The gym is by far the most popular facility operated by Rec Sports. Because of this, there are three main areas of staff needed for it to operate: Service Attendant (SA), Weight Room Attendant (WRA), and the managers who oversee everything. Managers and SA’s normally deal with duties at the front desk relating to sign in and item checkouts, while WRA’s make sure the gym is presentable and easily available for use by any patron who wishes to use them. The positions are dependent on one another to maintain a functioning facility that provides the utmost service to all patrons who use it. Due to the this, we all have a special relationship between one another in the workplace. Although we are all coworkers and move as a team together, there are a number of issues present internally that affect how we communicate and treat one another, particularly managers and…

Depending on sales volume Jim has to decide how many orders need to be satisfied daily, which includes production and distribution of the products to customers. As orders are received and updated real-time with the help of the internet, daily production targets should be updated. Jim will also have to decide on a daily basis how many employees will work on customized feeders depending on the volume of sales orders. Because orders vary per season, he can train other employees from other departments/products for the skills needed in producing the customized bird feeders. These employees can work on the customized bird feeders product during peak season and go back to their original job function or product on low-volume seasons. Jim should also consider quality control as part of his daily decisions to ensure that customers receive high quality products.…

The summer, a time of warm weather, long weekends, friends and holidays. It is also the time where many of us put down the junk food, get off the couch and come out of winter hibernation to enjoy the outdoors. It’s often not long after playing your first game of beach volleyball or running to catch the bus when you realise that your heart is racing, sweat is pouring down your face and you are breathing heavily. As you look up and watch everyone still running around you or as your stepping onto the bus only one thought is running through your mind “WOW I am out of shape!”. Now I am not here today to try and convince you to get into better shape. Starting a fitness routine is a commitment that an individual needs to decide on for themselves when the time is right for them. It is at this time when many people have the same debate, do you shell out the money for a gym membership? or do you invest in a home gym? My goal today is to persuade you so when or if you do decide to start a fitness routine you will choose to or at least consider the benefits of purchasing a gym membership over investing in a home gym. I believe this can be done by examining what many people think are the benefits of investing in a home gym. Which are saving money, convenience, and not having to deal with other members. After looking at these three points it will become clear that not all of them are completely true and joining a gym can satisfy these needs just as well if not better.…
