Q1. Why did God put the tree of Good and Evil at the Garden of Eden, if God knew they will sin?
Elohim-- Creator
YAHWEH-JIREH-- The Lord will Provide
Verse:
(Genesis 1:9)--The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Lord made all of trees.
God was pleased after creating the tree
God thought the trees were good for food.
God put the “Tree of Life and the Tree of the knowledge of the Good and Evil” at the middle of the garden.
(Genesis 2:16-17)-- And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”
God let the man eat from any tree except one.
God told the man not to eat from the “Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.”
(Genesis 3:6-9)-- The woman could see that the tree was beautiful and the fruit looked so good to eat. She also liked the idea that it would make her wise. So she took some of the fruit from the tree and ate it. Her husband was there with her, so she gave him some of the fruit, and he ate it. Then it was as if their eyes opened, and they saw things differently. They saw that they were naked. So they got some fig leaves, sewed them together, and wore them for clothes. During the cool part of the day, the Lord God was walking in the garden. The man and the woman heard him, and they hid among the trees in the garden. 9 The Lord God called to the man and said, “Where are you?”
God walks at the Garden.
God doesn’t respond to the man angrily, even though the man disobeyed. (Jeremiah 29:11)—“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
God has plans for us.
God seems to care for us.
God’s plan is not to harm us but to give us hope and future.

In the Bible Genesis 3:16,page 161 in our text book, God is talking to Adam and Eve after the apple tasting debacle and He says, “I will terribly sharpen your birth pangs, in pain shall you bear children. And for your man shall be your longing, and he shall rule over you.” As punishment for the sin, and clearly placing men above women in the hierarchy scale, He punishes Eve harshly. Adam gets in trouble as well but it was “ Because you listened to the voice of your wife and ate from the tree that I commanded you .You shall not eat from it.” This almost gives Adam a pass on the sin of eating the apple but gets Adam in trouble…

In Genesis, the story of Adam and Eve is set in the Garden of Eden. In the garden there was no sin, suffering or pain. Everyone was happy and had everything they wanted. The one thing God told Adam and Eve was to stay away from the tree of knowledge of good and evil and to not eat the fruit from that tree, yet that was too much to ask. “When the woman saw the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he also ate it” (Genesis 3:6). This sin had grave consequences such as “the eyes of both of them were opened and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig-leaves together and made coverings for themselves” (Genesis 3:7). Gene’s sin had similar results from when he shook the tree and Finny fell, his life changed largely. The impact of his actions struck him extremely hard and at once he became ashamed and embarrassed of what he did, just as Adam and Eve were of their nakedness so they…

The creator, Yahweh made the heavens and the earth. It is said that Yahweh took dust from the moist land and shapes it into the shape of man. He breathes the breath of life into man and he comes to life. Yahweh is the creator of all things from the Garden of Eden, to the rivers that flow from the four corners of the world. He is also the creator of the Garden of Eden, the tree of life, and the tree knowledge of good/evil. One day after watching man, he decides that man should have a help-mate. He causes man to fall into a deep sleep and remove one of his ribs, creating woman. The man was Adam (earth or clay) and the woman name was Eve (life). The myth goes on to state how Adam and Eve eats the apple from the tree of knowledge after the serpent deceives them. In addition, eating the apple opens their eyes to the knowledge of good and evil. They are then ban from the Garden of Eden. Yahweh curses the serpent, Adam, and Eve. He places a half-human,…

“There was a pear tree near out vineyard, full of fruit, but it was not tempting because of its taste or appearance. Many of us lewd young me went late one night (having prolonged our street sports as was our custom) to shake and rob that tree. We took huge loads, not so we could eat them, and after tasting the pears, we threw the, to the hogs. We did this because we wanted to and because it was prohibited. Behold my heart, O God, behold my heart, which you pitied in the bottom of the bottomless pit. Let my heart tell you what it sought there: that I should be gratuitously evil, having no temptation to wickedness, but wickedness itself. It was foul, and I loved it; I loved to perish, I loved my own faults, not that for which I was at fault, but the fault itself. Foul, soul, falling from your heavens to utter destruction, seeking nothing through the shame, only the shame itself!” (Excerpt by Augustine of Hippo from his Autobiography, Confessions)…

Most everyone is familiar with Genesis chapter three in the Bible. This is the creation story, or more commonly known as the story of Adam and Eve. Eve had been told that she could eat from any of the trees in the garden with the exception of the tree in the middle of the garden. When Eve was in the garden one day she came across a serpent. The serpent told Eve to eat from the tree. He said, “You will not die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil" (Genesis, chapters 3.4 and 3.5). After hearing this, Eve took the fruit from the tree and ate it, and gave some to her husband, Adam. The Lord God then came to Adam and Eve and he said, “Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?” (Genesis chapter 3.11) Adam replied, saying that Eve had taken it and given it to him to eat. Eve then told the Lord God that the serpent lured her into eating from the tree. Because they disobeyed the Lord God he punished them. He told…
