Bernard Law Montgomery: The Great Military Leader
Bernard Law Montgomery Throughout history, men have fought many wars. These armies were led be great leaders and generals such as Julius Caesar, Napoleon, and Alexander the Great. One of the best leaders in WW2 was Bernard law Montgomery. Monty was born in Kennington, London. His father was very religious and his mother strict. Without a doubt, the way he was raised probably contributed to his detachment later in life. Monty threw himself into sports at will and was always seeking to be the leader of the group. Monty was a great military leader because he possessed three great traits that made him an effective military leader. His bravery in leading a bayonet charge in the battle of Ypres. His self-confidence that passed its self on to his soldiers that he commanded. Also being compassionate about the lives of his soldiers and caring enough that he made them better prepare for battle.

Throughout history, there were many great military leaders like Julius Caesar, Napoleon, and Alexander the Great. Bernard Montgomery is one of the greatest military leaders in history. His bravery in leading a bayonet charge that nearly resulted in his death showed that Monty was very brave. In addition, his confidence in himself that inspired his troops to be better. Finally, he was very caring and compassionate towards his troops. He went out of his way to meet his troops and he fought to change the way the British approached war. All three of these traits showed what an amazing leader he was. Leaders are the ones that people look up to. Leaders cannot be cowardly, insecure, or calloused.
