Believe in yourself
We are royalty!

Today I am going to speak about believing in yourself. To believe in yourself you need self-confidence. What is self-confidence? You hear people talking about confidence every day, whether it is on television or on the street. Self-confidence is basically the belief in one’s own power and ability. Bernard M. Baruch once said “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.” It is very easy to tell if someone is lacking confidence, you could just look at their body language. Have you ever noticed that confident people tend to walk faster than a person with low self-esteem? Yes it’s a strange observation but it is true.
There is no reason for you to feel ashamed about yourself, love the skin you are in. We are all beautifully and wonderfully made by God. Many people are simply afraid to think of themself as anything but average. Most people don’t live up to their full potential. If you just utilized your average ability you could achieve great things. We need to realize we have unlimited potential. The book “Understanding Your Potential” by Myles Munroe defines potential as: “All you can be but have not yet become; all you can do but have not yet done; how far you can reach but have not yet reached; what you can accomplish but have not yet accomplished. Potential is unexposed ability and latent power.” There is a vast pool of untapped ability in each one of us. The only question is, are you willing to seek it out and bring it to fruition?
One mistake a lot of people make is trying to fit in, why fit in when you can stand out. Being different means, not being afraid to challenge the norm., being willing to take a chance, asking why, making your own track, not just following the well-trodden path, charting your own course and destiny and being the person that you were meant to be. I believe that it is a fact that everyone is born unique; but through the years we work very hard to be

It is often said that conformity can be a horrible thing in today's society, but I have always believed that conformity was and can be a dangerous thing in life. In the article “Sociology of Leopard Man” the author Logan Feys states that, “Conformity can be seen as the world's most common but dangerous psychological disorder” (par. 6). In other words, he believes that being in a group surrounded by uniqueness is “unsafe” because we will not be able to think by ourselves and we as humans will follow the group and be a follower in life. Honestly it is a good thing we have uniqueness because we would all be doing the exact same thing and we need different people that can show us it is okay, without them we would all be thinking the same.…

In this world where image and identity play such a significant role in life it’s only natural that people fear being rejected; they urge a sense of belonging and so they conform to what is seen as correct in society. This is true for most but there are the occasional few who strive to set themselves apart from the rest and follow what they believe in. These individuals are considered to be different and because of it they are often alienated by society. Being different can be considered anything from looking a certain way, speaking a certain way, acting a certain away, and etc. This demonstrates the relationship and clash between the individual and the community.…

After taking the self-assesment I have discovered a few thing I did not know about myself. I figured out my strengths and weaknesses and have found out I am a successful student! One of my highest scores was in 'Accepting Personal Reponsibility' another was 'Mastering Self-Management'. I am very well organized and it is very unlikely for me to not accept responsability when I am at fault. My lowest score was 'Believing In Myself' which was hard to believe since I always try to push myself past any challenge.…

Striving to be someone else in today’s society is a very common theme. Haven't you ever felt different in some way compared to other people? Well believe it or not, it’s normal and it happens to everyone. No matter what setting, whether it be school, work, or just in society, people get a feeling of that they are outcasts because they are constantly comparing themselves to the people around them and their actions. The literal definition of “outcast” is a person who has been rejected by society or a social group. I believe that being an outsider is universal because everyone is different in some way. Difference is what feeling like an outsider is based on, therefor, when people compare themselves to others and notice the differences, the feeling of being outcasted or being an “outsider” universally affects everyone…

Mary Jane as some people call it is an illegal drug that is used by over 25 million people annually. Smoking pot obviously has far less dangerous and hazardous effects on society. Marijuana has had a bad name for years; the dangers have been completely over exaggerated. Marijuana is not lethal and is much safer than alcohol. Though society has put a picture in people’s heads that cannabis is a highly addictive drug and you can easily overdose. Legalizing marijuana would just benefit its users it could also benefit the government if the government were to tax marijuana. Marijuana has many good attributes especially in its medical value. Marijuana provides relief from pain and nausea and a lot of the times is used for cancer patients.…
