Beethoven Symphony Part 3 Analysis
For this week’s journal I chose to write about Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 part III. I chose this movement because it goes with the energy and motion of my current chapter in life. It evoked happiness, urgency, and a little bit of controlled chaos. Its dynamic ranges from pianissimo to fortissimo. The variation between the two builds tension and releases it. The pattern continuous throughout the piece thus surprising and delighting the audience. Beethoven also utilizes contrast to helps us value dynamics. The oboe and the flute build the main cheerful melody while it is contrast by the violins which build the intensity.
My emotions changed throughout the melody. At time the music had a happy and cheerful feel while at other times it was intense
