Bees-Personal Narrative
I smelled the smell of nature. It smelled like the wind. I heard people talking, and bees buzzing. Everything was going well. The sun was shining. We got tickets to go on the ferry to Fire Island, and we waited for it to come. When it arrived, we decided to sit on the top of the ferry. We liked the idea of having a better view and we could have the wind cool us off. Victoria (my friend), her mom, my mom, and I was on top of the ferry. A bee flew below me, and I freaked out. I screamed at the top of my lungs. Everyone turned to look at me. I saw a dried, eaten apple and spilt iced tea right by my feet. In fact, a dog and an old man were sitting in front of me. The dog was licking the iced tea. The iced tea made my shoes glutinous. I felt like I was getting pulled to ground every time I walked. The sun was blinding my eyes and the wind hurt my face. I couldn't see anything. I was getting hungry, so I took out my rice crispy treat. I tried eating it, but bees surrounded me. If bees flew all around you, you should be screaming, right? …show more content…
The bees are gonna sting me!” I cried. The old man in front of us, got indignant. “Will ya stop screaming? It is very annoying.” Victoria was laughing. “I'm sorry that she is scared of the bees.” My mom said. In addition, the woman next to the old man insisted to my mom, “She needs to go downstairs. She is disturbing everyone, including my daughter.” They kicked me off the top part of the boat. Feeling sad, I trotted with my mom to go downstairs, leaving Victoria with her mom.
Lastly, I realized that the iced tea attracted the bees, so whoever spilt that, it was their fault. It was so unfair. I wanted to move away from where I was sitting, but all the seats were full. Me and Victoria carped about them when we got off the ferry.
This experience was stressful. At least I did not get a bee sting. I learned to stay away from food that was dropped on the floor that bees may be near, and try not to get people mad by my loud

As I approached Satis house inside of my carriage I could feel the nerves growing inside of me. I got close to the rusted gates and stopped I had to get out and walk up to the old withered gates. I felt my feet stick to the ground and I found it quite hard to breath. The sounds around me was getting very load like I was standing next to a roaring plane even know I was getting further away I could hear the crows in the background and the snorting horses. When I got closer to the gate and I could feel the gravel crunching beneath my feet I pushed the gate open and it let off a very high pitched screeching sound. I approached the ancient door and the house was like something you would see in a film it was bigger than a castle but as scary as a haunted house. The walls were covered in ivy; there was a smell of rotten plants and the rotten smell of decaying wood. I could feel my feet getting heavier and I found it hard to walk towards Satis house but I felt like someone was watching me, it was like there was a ghost present. The nerves were overwhelming and I could feel my heart pounding inside of my chest it was as if it was going to explode.…

One breezy evening I decided to go out for a walk. I loved how the warm breeze felt against my face. While walking, not even noticing where I was going, I turned a sharp corner and nothing was there but a dirt path and forest surrounding it. I walked on, day-dreaming about how this place looked like a fairytale. When there was a sudden change, there was a small gap leading into the forest where there was a river. The river curled in all directions and the calm, smooth surface looked trusting, and inviting. I stepped into the forest. The sun was almost down; the sky had beautiful light purple color with pink clouds. As I stepped into the forest it grew incredibly dark except for some patches of light here and there. As I followed the little river I hear little noises, guessing it was from animals I moved along. As the day grew darker I got tired. I decided to sleep for the night in the forest for following the small river back would take a long time. So I rested on the soft green grass and went to sleep dreaming about how mystical this all seems.…

It was mid June of 1996 and I was living in an eight story building in Harlem in New York City. It was one of the sunniest days of the summertime. It was from this day at age nine when I realized that life is not a dream it is reality. Beautiful and sunny, not too humid- the weather was all I wanted it to be. I had woken up and the first thought that came to my mind was “It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood!” as I looked outside and saw my friends laughing and playing across the street at the basketball courts. I slept in because I was on vacation from school. As I was getting out of bed I looked around my room; it looked as usual neat, colorful but simple. I kept it organized because I always had friends coming around. I can’t really remember of what I wore that day but I know that my favorite cousin Taje and my twin sister Lucy and I were all matching had the same outfit on. I quickly got all ready and looked outside and my cousin Taneasha and Taje and my twin sister Lucy were playing hopscotch by the courts. I ran down from my seventh floor apartment building and joined in on their game. As soon as I stepped outside I felt the heat. We watched the guys from our block play a game of basketball and fooled around at the court until our stomachs started growling. We went out to eat at my favorite corner restaurant which had the best Caribbean food. By the time we left back to my house it was about 6:30pm. Taje, Taneasha, and Lucy were all comfortable relaxing watching a movie. We were all hanging out in my room and the next thing you know we started to smell something very unusual. We could not make out the smell but it almost smelt like burning plastic. Our oldest cousin Taje went to go see where the smell was…

It was a misty morning when we left our house, and as soon as we walked out of the door you could instantly smell the fresh dew on the grass. We were heading to Kelling Heath, which is located near Sheringham, Norfolk. I was so excited that I could hardly keep still for the whole car journey! It took us about an hour to get to the campsite but the journey went really quickly because we were playing games and observing the beautiful scenery around us.The sun was shining really strongly on our backs as we were setting up the newly purchased tent. Hours passed quickly and we had made some new friends who sent up camp next to us. They had a couple of children: Nicola who was 14yrs old and Matthew who was 9yrs old. This family had a massive old-fashioned style tent. It had little windows and curtains, and a door, which caused us a bit of trouble because the zip wouldn't undo straight away!As everyone was settling down, I was admiring the amazing scenery and atmosphere around us. As I was gazing up into the blue cloudless sky and smelling the clean fresh air when I spotted some birds, which were flying high above me, so I threw out some bread that was left over from an earlier snack. As soon as the bread had hit the floor, the birds had instantly spotted it and they flew down in a kaleidoscopic pattern and landed to feast upon a meal of dry bread.By now everyone had set up camp and we took a walk around the quiet and woody campsite. There was a nearby forest and it was so peaceful and quiet and you could hear some birds chirping away to each other. On the ground there were newly fallen pinecones, which covered the forest floor like a blanket. Apart from the birds you could hear nothing else apart from the golden leaves crunching under our feet. Our gentle stroll ended quickly and we headed back to the tents to have some lunch. We set up a little barbeque that was complete with a set of frying pans (for the eggs) and saucepans (for the beans). I helped my dad get food out…

Next week flew by so quickly and I found myself in the aisle again looking at the never ending piles of candy. I left mommy and daddy in the meat section and I headed for the mountain of sweets. The meat section was so boring. Who wouldn't pick an aisle filled with candies over raw dead meat? Inside the grocery store, music played softly as people pushed metal carts around the store constantly picking groceries off the shelves. It was like I was surrounded by a bunch of programmed robots. I felt different from everyone else. I felt I had something to do tonight. This week I brought a bag along with me because something inside of me told me that I would be need to use it. As I stood there staring, contemplating, wondering what I should do, two voices inside of me were arguing. One voice was telling me to take the candy and the other was telling me not to. Unfortunately, one of the voices had to win so I opened up my bag and started stuffing mounds of candy into it until it…
