Bedside Shift Report
Bedside shift report provides better communication, patient and nurse satisfaction, accountability of nurses and an overview assessment of their patient which contributes to better patient care. Below are the following reasons on how:

Allows the patient an opportunity to meet the oncoming nurse to strengthen nurse patient relationship and remove the uncertainty of the next care giver.
Provides patient and family members with updates on plan of care and involvement in their care.
Improves communication between caregivers.
Reduces the risk of falls and medication errors.
Increases the chance for early interventions or Rapid Response.
