“Revolution”, the single version, was recorded in the studio in July 1968. Originally, The Beatles recorded “Revolution” as a combination of “Revolution 1” and “Revolution 9”, written by John Lennon, for the White Album that was released later that year. Eventually, “Revolution 1” and “Revolution 9” were split into two tracks. “Revolution 1” was suppose to be the next single from the group. However, McCartney and Harrison had objections to the track for it’s tempo was too slow to be a single. After some objection from Lennon, they re-recorded the track at a moderate tempo and with heavily distorted electric guitars. The song became a raw, raucous, and feverous rock single. This outspoken and feverish single stands as one of Lennon’s first…

The Beatles, also known as the White Album, is the ninth studio album by the English rock group the Beatles, released on 22 November 1968. A double album, it’s plain white sleeve has no graphics or text other than the band's name embossed, which was intended as a direct contrast to the vivid cover artwork of the band's earlier Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Although no singles were issued from The Beatles in Britain and the United States, the songs "Hey Jude" and "Revolution" originated from the same recording sessions and were issued on a single in August 1968. The album's songs range in style from British blues and ska to tracks influenced by Chuck Berry and by Karlheinz Stockhausen.…
Perhaps music can be considered to be one of the most universal things in the world. Notably, music since the 1960s have been greatly shaped by one of the most monumental music figures in the history of the world, The Beatles. Before the Beatles became a prominent figure in music, the most popular genres of music were all forms of jazz. The Beatles alone were the main influence in bringing rock n’ roll in the music spotlight and still continue to do so to this day. They were said to “be even be even bigger then Jesus” to quote the humorous and often controversial John Lennon.…
On February 7th, 1964, Great Britain was known for a lot of things: tea, spiffy tailoring, the Queen. “Exciting musical exports,” however, was not high on the list. Everything changed 50 years ago today when four young British musicians landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York and detonated a cultural explosion. I refer, of course, to the thrilling arrival in America of that one-of-a-kind band that we have all come to know and love, this great band that transformed American music forever. The Beatles impacted the world culturally, three different included their persona, taste in clothing, and the types of songs they sang.…

"The impact of The Beatles upon popular music cannot be overstated; they revolutionized the music industry and touched the lives of all who heard them in deep and fundamental ways" (rockhall.com). It was 1964 when The Beatles became accepted by America. During this time, the nation had recently suffered the loss of its young president, John F. Kennedy. The Beatles' uplifting attitude and melodies gave Americans hope for more positive things to look forward to. Ironically, adults even grew a liking to The Beatles; rock and roll was…
"Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," recorded in 1967, is to date the number one Rock and Roll album ever recorded. Sgt. Pepper's is considered to be the first concept album. There are many things that brought about the creation of The Beatles most influential album. Before The Beatles began the recording process of Sgt. Pepper's they had retired from touring. This gave the group ample time to experiment with different instruments, recording techniques and drugs. The album cover also sparked a revolution in itself. Many bands took notice of the creative elements of Sgt. Pepper's and learned from them.…
